Fans of co-operative third-person shooters have been gunning down hordes of zombies under the command of a deceased Adolf Hitler sinceRebellion Developments’Zombie Army 4: Dead Warreleased on July 07, 2025. Today the development studio announced that its prior venture, 2015’sZombie Army Trilogy, will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch at the end of March.

Rebellion’sZombie Armyfranchise began as a DLC spin-off released forSniper Elite V2in 2013 calledNazi Zombie Army. That DLC was combined with its two follow-up chapters to become theZombie Army Trilogy, which has thus far been made available on PC for $44.99, and both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $49.99.

The March 31 release of the ‘M’ rated game for Nintendo’s hybrid console was announced on Twitter, alongside a short video asking players to “take Hitler down” across “three terrifying campaigns” which include 15 missions and support both the Switch Pro Controller and motion controls with HD Rumble. There is no indication as to whether the game will include thecrossover DLC with Valve’sLeft 4 Deadseriesreleased on PC.

TheZombie Armygames are just one spin-off of theSniper Eliteseries that UK development studio Rebellion has created in recent years. It also developed a third-person shooter set in the 1930s calledStrange Brigade, which focuses on ancient mythologyand features more of aTomb RaiderorUncharted-esque tone.

However,Zombie Armyseems to have picked up steam in gaming circles given the decision to create a standalone fourth title. That game even released with aCollector’s Edition that showcases its gory zombie shark enemy, X-Ray kills, and World War II-era aesthetic.

Zombie Army 4: Dead Warhas also utilized a number of creepy design choices, likeadding voice lines through the PS4’s DualShock controllerwhen players pause the game. If that kind of game design and the promise of killing a reanimated Adolf Hitler with zombie sharks sounds appealing, taking a look at the original trilogy of games on its newest mobile platform would be a good place to start.

Zombie Army Trilogyis currently available on PC, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. It will be available for the Nintendo Switch on July 04, 2025.
