Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duelhas revealed the newest changes to the online card game’s banlist, with five cards set to see changes for December. Since the launch of the game early this year, the online version of Konami’s mega-popular TCG has seen massive success across multiple platforms. The newestYu-Gi-Oh! simulator broke player count records for trading card games on Steam shortly after its release and has regularly added new content and game modes, like therecently introduced Team Battle Mode, Now, new changes to the game’s banlist are set to arrive soon.
Alongside all the new content and solo stories added to the game,Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duelhas regularly updated its banlist to address some of the most powerful strategies. Recent months have seen the game’s banlist updated at least once a month with powerful cards like “Crystron Halqifibrax” and “True King of All Calamities” being banned by Konami. Some of these changes have even seen powerful, formerly banned cards like “Spellbook of Judgment” re-introduced to the game. Now,Master Duelhas unveiled the details for its next monthly banlist.

A recent reveal from Konami has confirmed five cards will see their status changed as a part of the December banlist update forYu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The newest change to theForbidden and Limited Listwill only see one card fully removed from the game, with “Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds” receiving a ban. The card has been a powerful option for the meta-relevant “Floowandereeze” deck, with players easily able to Summon the Monster and lock their opponents out of Special Summoning non-WIND Monsters.
The new banlist sees three cards moved to two copies per deck with one being removed from the Forbidden and Limited List entirely. “Galatea, the Orcust Automation” and “Genex Ally Birdman” will both see their status moved from Limited to Semi-Limited, the former being a core piece of the popular “Orcust” strategy. “Anti-Spell Fragrance” joins them on the Semi-Limited list after previously being Unlimited, with the card exceptionally powerful againstdecks reliant on Spell cards. “Magical Meltdown” is the sole card being removed from the banlist, acting as a major part of the “Invoked” deck.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel’s newest banlist update comes as the game has plenty on the horizon for the last month-and-a-half of 2022. Konami recently added the game’s newest Selection Pack, “Battle Trajectory,” introducing a variety of powerful cards for Pendulum Monsters alongside new archetypes.Master Duelhas also confirmed thepopular Duelist Cup competitive eventis set to return in mid-December. With plenty to come throughout November and December and the game’s one-year anniversary in January,Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duellooks to have plenty in store for fans.
