During a stream on May 30, xQc surprised his viewers by revealing his co-ownership of theGrand Theft Auto OnlineNoPixel RP server. He shared the details in a sincere manner, explaining the progression of ownership within the NoPixel community. Initially, Koil held complete ownership of NoPixel, with 100% control. Recognizing that this announcement may cause concern among some viewers, xQc was also quick to clarify his role within the server. While it remains to be seen how xQc becoming co-owner will impact the server, it is worth noting thatNo Pixel has faced multiple controversies in the past few months.
Last month,NoPixel gained significant attention due to a lawsuit filed by one of its former developers, Danny Tracey, who is also known as DW. The lawsuit revolves around ownership disputes, with Tracey holding Koil responsible for damages totaling $150,000. In addition to the lawsuit, another notable event emerged last month when a prominent role-playing streamer named Penta announced his departure from the NoPixel server. Penta accused the administrators of neglecting instances of abuse and criticized their lack of action.
