Tends To Kick Her Children Out When They Reach The Age Of 10

The mother of the protagonist first appears inPokemon Red And Blue, and ever since that game, she’s been a pretty lousy mother figure. In every game she appears in, she tends to kick her children out when they’re way too young to survive outside of the home, usually around age 10. When players factor in the state of the world, with monsters roaming around every corner, this looks even worse for her parenting skills.

The mother inPokemon Red And Blue, through tothe most recent iterations on the Nintendo Switch, has never been that good at being a mother, but she’s not the worst in Nintendo games by a long way.

Locking Herself In A Bedroom Doesn’t Make Her Mother Of The Year

Mrs Sanderson appears inChibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure!and acts as a mother figure to Chibi-Robo for most of the game, despite not liking the fact that she hasChibi-Roboin the first place. As the game progresses, she warms to him and even starts to like him until he finds the receipt for himself. At this point, she locks herself in her bedroom and refuses to come out until she’s literally being attacked by monsters.

Mrs Sanderson starts off fairly well, but towards the end ofChibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure!all of her progress is lost, and she becomes a truly negligent mother figure.

Sada appears inPokemon Scarletas the mother to the adorable Arven, who partners with the player throughout part of the game. However, she is not the reason behind Arven’s good nature, as she gets abandoned by Professor Truro and, in response to that, decides to neglect her son even though she wants a family so badly.

This behavior, while it has a sympathetic reason behind it, makes Sada a truly terrible mother in thePokemonuniverse. Sada does not care for her son the way a parent should.

Mother Maiamai fromThe Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worldsis nowhere near as bad as some other mothers in Nintendo games, but she’s still not the best. She has a seemingly endless number of children, all of whom have been lost throughout the world in the most random locations.

Worse still, she asks Link to find them in exchange for gifts, which implies she doesn’t want to look for them herself. For these reasons, she’s not a very caring mother overall, despite her usefulness to the player.

Sonia is an antagonist ofFire Emblem: The Blazing Bladeand acts as Nino’s adoptive mother in the game, although she is absolutely terrible at her role. She parents Nino entirely without love and uses her powers for her own gain without a single thought about the child she is supposed to be parenting. Nino is completely illiterate for years because of the neglect she faces from her mother, who she believes is her biological mother.

Sonia inFire Emblem: The Blazing Bladeis one of the worst mothers in gaming generally, let alone on the Nintendo consoles.

Lusamine is the major antagonist ofPokemon Sun And Moon, and she isextremely ruthlessand the worst mother in any Nintendo game by far. She has all the traits that would make someone a terrible mother, as she is manipulative and wishes her entire family would submit and be completely at her whim instead of being real people. She believes her son and daughter have betrayed her, so she is cold and neglectful towards them and wishes they didn’t exist.

Lusamine is such a terrible mother inPokemon Sun And Moonbecause she views her children as objects standing in the way of her ultimate goal, and doesn’t even care enough about them to try to use them in some way.
