World of Warcraftis soon letting players participate in Timewalking dungeons at much lower levels than before. This fantastic change is expected to go live withWorld of WarcraftPatch 10.1.7.
Timewalking is a regularly-scheduled event where players can queue up for iconic dungeons andraids fromWorld of Warcraft’s historythat have been scaled up to higher-level content. Fans who participate can collect Timewarped Badges and exchange them for catch-up gear, reputation with old factions, Heirloom upgrades, and other collectibles. Right now, queuing up for Timewalking Dungeons and buying from the Timewalking vendors requires level 60.

However, it seems like this level requirement is going to be significantly lowered in Patch 10.1.7,World of Warcraft’s next update arriving on September 5.WoWcontent creator MrGM reported the minimum level players can queue into these Timewalking dungeons has been lowered on theDragonflightPublic Test Realm to coincide with the maximum level of each expansion. This means players can start participating in some Timewalking events by level 30, and all of them by level 45.
Just like now, players won’t be able to pick up the weekly Timewalking event quest that rewards endgame raid gear until they are level 70. That said, they will still be able to earn currency and gear from boss drops, including the guaranteed quest item drop that can be exchanged for 500 Timewarped Badges once per week after their first dungeon clear. This will give players more options forleveling theirWorld of Warcraftalts, collecting cosmetics and gear, and completing Traveler’s Log tasks during these Timewalking periods.
Most players are happy to see this particular change coming toWorld of Warcraft. InDragonflight, the minimum level for Timewalking increased from 50 to 60 to the chagrin of many players, so they are happy to see the level requirement is being lowered again soon. Some fans want to see the level requirement dropped even further, however, and think players should be able to queue in by level 10–when thedungeon finder inWorld of Warcraftis unlocked–so they have even more ways to level their characters.
WhileWorld of Warcraftprobably won’t lower the level requirements further quite yet, Timewalking might be getting some other exciting updates soon. Evidence has been discovered that suggests theSiege of Orgrimmar raid might be coming toWoWTimewalking, and players expect Battle for Azeroth dungeons to enter the event rotation before long. Fans will have to wait and see what new things Timewalking will get in futureDragonflightpatches.
