However, the exciting gimmick about Season of Discovery is that it will send players across Azeroth in search of class-altering abilities that will enable crazybuilds inWorld of Warcraftsuch as healing Mages or tank Warlocks. Needless to say, it will completely transform the vanilla experience thatWorld of Warcraftplayers have become accustomed to.
Season of Discovery Arrives to World of Warcraft Classic on November 30
Fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on Season of Discovery, as it will make its debut on Classic servers at the end of the month. November 30 will launch the first phase of Season of Discovery, butWorld of Warcraftplayers will see its content expand over time, bringing new dungeons and raids on the road to Level 60. Though it may not quite be the Classic Plus experience that some players were hoping for, Season of Discovery could be the perfect counterpart to Hardcore.
Hardcore inWorld of Warcraft Classichas been an immensely popular game mode, as it recently held a community-organized Mak’gora tournament that saw the biggest Hardcore players in the game square off against each other for a prize pool of $100,000. Whereas Hardcore adheres to the familiar formula of vanillaWorld of Warcraft, Season of Discovery has the potential to provide something fresh for players who may not be comfortable losing their character at death.
And lastly, for Classic players who have enjoyed advancing through the oldWorld of Warcraftexpansions,Cataclysm Classicis coming(with a few select changes) to allow fans to relive the era of Deathwing and the Shattering. Despite the company’s initial reluctance, it would seem that Blizzard has fully embraced the potential of Classic and realized how much it means to theWorld of Warcraftcommunity.
