12Aries (March 21 - April 19) - Commander Shepard
Commander Shepard’s personality is slightly different depending on a players' choices. However, they have certain traits no matter what and those traits are major pillars of what makes an Aries.
Aries are known leaders, with strengths in their confidence, courage, and passion. They often enjoy physical activity and taking leadership roles. No matter their age, they have youthful energy that has no plans of slowing down. Aries can be impatient, and dislike being held back or seeing others hold back their talents.
11Taurus (April 20 - May 20) - James Vega
James Vega does not appear untilMass Effect 3, but his personality is a hard one to miss. He is a stable and laid-back individual, though at times he can be stubborn.

These are all traits commonly known in those born under the Taurus sign. Like Vega, they feel pride in their hard work but always have time for fun and jokes as well. Once they find a project, they stick to it and keep at it no matter what. Their stubborn side can be mistaken for having strong commitment, which is not a bad thing.
10Gemini (May 21 - June 20) - Kelly Chambers
Kelly is not introduced untilMass Effect 2,serving as an on-board psychologist. She has a lot of empathy for other members of the crew, possesses a gentle demeanor, and is quite open-minded. Kelly is known to chat with a lot of the other crew members, partly due to her job but also because she enjoying little chats. All these elements are those of a Gemini.
Gemini are known to be adaptable people, and are quick learners. They tend to be social people, disliking being alone.
9Cancer (June 21 - July 22) - Jack
Jack fits the personality of a Cancer with near exactness, at least when it comes to a Cancer’s weaknesses. When a Cancer has a hard life, they can be insecure, suspicious of others, moody, and cynical. InMass Effect 3though, Jack starts to how what a Cancer is like at their best. As she begins to become more secure and trusting, she is actually quite loyal and loves to help loved ones.
Cancers are also known to have a love of art, and whileJack does not really talk about art in the game. . . her body art of tattoos speak for themselves.
8Leo (July 23 - August 22) - Joker
Leo’s can be the life of a party, as long as they are in a good mood. They are known for their cheer, humor, and passion. On a bad day though, they can be inflexible arrogant, and lazy. In many ways, they are like Joker, the pilot of the Normandy.

Joker graduated best in class, and likes to verify others know that. He is loved by fans for his dry humor and pretty cheerful demeanor (at least cheerful in comparison to someother characters). Leo’s and Joker both hate to be ignored and typically use brains instead of brawn to solve problems.
7Virgo (August 23 – September 22) - Liara
Liara is one of the sweeter characters to be part of Shepard’s crew. She is often kind and practical, and likes to listen and learn from others. In many ways, she is an example of the Virgo personality.
Virgo are known to be careful people, the sort that pay attention to small details. They dislike receiving too much attention and also cannot stand people who are too aggressive or rude. In terms of their weaknesses, they can be too critical of themselves and others. Also, they can have issues making time for themselves and overload themselves with work.
6Libra (September 23 - October 22) - Kasumi
For Libra, their love and partner(s) are a main priority. Outside of that though, they love fine material things. They love art, music, and visiting beautiful places. In terms of dislikes, they often hate injustice, loud individuals, and conformity. When they can, they avoid confrontations.

All of these traits match Kasumi. She is a master of stealth, and is a thief with an eye for pricey targets. Of course, like most Libra, she also prioritizes her partner, Keiji. She will risk her life just to save his memories.
5Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) - Wrex
Scorpio’s would fit well into Krogan culture. They are often resourceful, brave, passionate, assertive and stubborn. They dislike the passive and value action most of all. All of these traits are like Wrex.
Wrex has Krogan values and is quite aware of their struggles. AfterMass Effectone, he develops a passion for creating change for his people (most notably, trying tocure the genophage). He, like most Krogan, is quite brash but he is also not stuck in the past. He, and many other Krogan, have the fierce traits Scorpio’s are known for.
4Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) - Garrus
Idealistic and humorous, Sagittarius’s are people with a lot of enthusiasm. They cannot stand being stuck or constrained, valuing freedom in their actions and thoughts. These traits are also why Garrus left C-Sec.
Like Garrus, Sagittarius like change. They can also be quite playful, funny, and loyal. Garrus is all this, sticking with Shepard as a companion for all three titles. He also is fond of playful jokes from time to time.
3Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) - Grunt
InMass Effect 2, Grunt once says “Fury is my choice, not a sickness.” Despite his love of combat, he values self-control and discipline. He also feels lost, having been born in a test tube instead of among his people.
His desires and values are reminiscent of a Capricorn. They are known to value family, tradition, and are known for their strength and self-control. They tend to have high standards of themselves and can sometimes be condescending to others they deem as inferior.
