AGenshin Impactplayer managed to record a strange clip of Paimon falling out from the sky when the Traveler began talking to an NPC in Sumeru. The Sumeru region is home toGenshin Impact’slatest suite of content in version 3.3, but even more new content is coming soon in early 2023.
Paimon is the first person the Traveler encountered when descending into the world of Teyvat inGenshin Impact. While fishing on the sandy shores of Mondstadt, the Traveler reeled in Paimon with his fishing rod and initially believed her to be a large fish. However, Paimon quickly made her presence known, and the two quickly became traveling partners. Two years later,Paimon continues to support the Traveler in Sumeru, which was introduced inGenshin Impactversion 3.0. Many mysteries exist involving Paimon and her potential upbringing, but the Traveler and his allies continue to place good faith in her.

Genshin Impactplayer and Reddit user u/Aerbow recording a gameplay clip of Paimon falling out of the sky when the Traveler began speaking to Fukumoto, an Inazuman Genius Invokation TCG enthusiast. Typically, Paimon pops out of hiding and floats beside the Traveler when the player talks to NPCs inGenshin Impact. She also appears when the player pauses the game, and disappears quickly after the game resumes play. However, she is shown rapidly descending when talking to Fukumoto instead of simply appearing as normally intended.
Genshin Impact’sPaimon is often part of theoriesdue to her potential connections to ancient beings known as Moon Sisters. Paimon doesn’t appear to remember anything before meeting the Traveler in Mondstadt, so she’s often discussed in the community as a being that descended from Celestia as well. Coincidentally, u/Aerbow jokingly refers to Paimon’s descent as a new model beamed down from Celestia, likely making reference to ongoing speculation and theories surrounding the character.
Genshin Impacthas its fair share of odditiesfrom time to time, and Paimon falling out of the sky is certainly a strange sight. It may be due toGenshin Impact’sgame engine processing Paimon’s appearance in dialogue rather quickly, but it’s a curious detail all the same.
Paimon will talk to many more NPCs when the next Sumeru expansion arrives inGenshin Impactversion 3.4. Alhaitham and Yaoyao will make their long-awaited debut in the new update, so players can look forward to testing their luck in the brand-new event wishes.
Genshin Impactis available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
