TheSpider-Man: No Way Homeclip was revealed during Holland’s appearance onLate Night with Seth Meyersas the press tour continues before the film’s release on December 17th. The video reveals the moments after the mid-credits scene fromSpider-Man: Far From Home. As stated, the actions of Mysterio lead to the outing of Parker’s identity, which is intensified more by J. Jonah Jameson, played by J.K. Simmons. The events generate Parker’s actions, carrying MJ away from a crowd badgering her with questions about her relationship to the now outed web-slinger.
The clip offers new insight, but more importantly, provides a total understanding of the film’s direction. Within the clip,the combative J. Jonah Jamesonstates, “Over time, people looked up to this boy and called him a hero. Well, I’ll tell you what I call him, public enemy number one.” The sentiment of Parker being an antagonist to the public is clear, showcased within the crowd’s indignant reaction. A woman attempts to pull the mask aggressively from Parker’s face, while another individual jumps at Parker as he swings away with MJ. What is also notable is the role MJ will play within this narrative. Her presence with Parker during his outing created a general impression of the two, which hints at the notion that she will be unsafe in public unless hidden.
