This latest patch aims to optimize and fix these problems while also providing some balance changes to the overall gameplay.
Survival gameV Risingspent two years in early access before having an official release this May.DubbedV Rising1.0, this version received numerous new content additions and quality-of-life improvements, including the Ruins of Mortium biome and related V Blood units, along with general visual enhancements. Additionally, version 1.0 added both Dracula’s Legion and the count himself asV Rising’sfinal boss. However, with so many additions, it didn’t take long for players to encounter some issues in version 1.0.

Stunlock Studios was quick to address any problems with the release ofV Rising’sHot Fix 4. As a Hot Fix, this update primarily focuses on fixing issues rather than adding content. Many issues addressed involve enhancing visual effects and optimizing various UI elements. There are several bug fixes as well, some related to Blood Potions, others to the variousBlood Types found inV Rising, and a few that could freeze the player’s movement.
One of the biggest changes in this Hot Fix is the balance changes involving the Dracula fight.V Risingversion 1.0 added three difficulty levels to the game: relaxed, normal, and brutal. The balance adjustments affect phases 1 and 2 of the fight against Dracula on all difficulties, with changes to phases 3 and 4 reserved for the Brutal difficulty. According to Stunlock Studios, these current changes address scaling in both co-op and solo for a future patch. This hotfix predates therelease ofV Risingon PlayStation 5, suggesting that the console version will launch with a more polished and refined performance.
V Risingversion 1.0 also added a boss cameo fromCastlevaniato celebrate the thematic crossover. Vampire players can faceSimon Belmont inV Rising, which is considered one of the game’s most difficult bosses. Although there is a DLC pack that addsCastlevaniacosmetics toV Rising, such as Alucard’s costumes and Dracula’s castle-inspired furniture, players don’t need to acquire the DLC to face Simon Belmont, who is a boss ever present inV Rising’sbase version.
