In 2022,The Pokemon Company partnered with Jazwares to develop Squishmallows, fluffy and adorable stuffed toys, of thePokemoncharacters. To date, there are more than 1,000 oh-so-soft Squishmallows, which have sold millions of products in physical and online stores throughout the US and worldwide.

The line ofPokemonSquishmallows, or Squishies, started with Pikachu and was followed by a stuffed toy version of Gengar, the purple, ghost-like bipedal Pokemon that is known for its red, menacing eyes and sinister grin. Later on, Jazwares alsoadded a winking Pikachu and Piplup to the Squishmallow lineup, which also featured Snorlax and Togepi. Now, The Pokemon Company and Squishmallow have collaborated once again to reveal two new Pokemon added to the roster: Clefairy and Teddiursa. Neither The Pokemon Company nor Squishmallow have announced the release date or price for these plushies, but most of their counterparts have been priced at $29.99. However, some rare and in-demand Squishmallows go for $50, so it remains to be seen how much fans will have to pay for the Clefairy and Teddiursa Squishmallows.
Clefairy is afirst-generation Fairy-type Pokemonthat evolves from Cleffa and evolves into Clefable after getting exposed to the Moon Stone. It is the perfect Pokemon to be morphed into a Squishmallow, thanks to its pink, rounded body and adorable appearance. Similarly, Teddiursa is a cute, teddy-like second-generation Pokemon that has orange-brown fur, black eyes, and a black nose, as well as a crescent moon on its head. It evolves into Ursaring by being exposed to a Peat Block during a full moon. Ursaring then evolves into Ursaluna, a much more ferocious Pokemon.
Clefairy and Teddiursa are the perfect pick to become the next Squishmallows, and manyPokemonfans, young and old, would probably love to add them to their collection of themed stuffed toys, cushions, and other merchandise. Squishmallows continues to add more gaming and comic characters to its list of cuddly toys. Many fans already haveSquishmallows ofSonic the Hedgehogcharacters, as well as those ofHello Kitty, SpongeBob Squarepants, and several others. More notably, there is a range of Squishmallows with disabilities, which exhibits the brand’s focus on inclusivity. It’ll be fun to see which Pokemon will be added to the lineup next.
