Twitchhas banned PewDiePie as of Monday, July 17. No reason has been given as to why PewDiePie was banned from the platform, and it’s unlikely that fans will ever know for sure why exactly Twitch has banned the popular content creator. It’s also unclear exactly how long this latest PewDiePie Twitch ban will last. It’s possible that PewDiePie’s Twitch channel will be restored within a matter of days or even earlier, but it’s also possible that this ban could last for quite some time. PewDiePie fans won’t know until the channel has been restored.

This isn’t the first time that PewDiePie was banned from Twitch. Twitch first banned PewDiePie back in May, with that particular ban lasting for about three days. There wererumors that PewDiePie’s Twitch channel had been hackedand that’s why it was banned, but PewDiePie himself later said that he wasn’t 100% sure why Twitch banned his channel. Twitch has been criticized for not providing specifics whenever it decides to ban a streamer from its platform, and because of that policy, fans may never have the full story about this latest PewDiePie Twitch ban.

Whenever PewDiePie does return to content creation, it will be interesting to see if he decides to shift his attention to platforms other than Twitch. Twitch’s chief streaming rival Kick has been making big moves in the space, signing streamers to contracts to ensure that some of the biggest names in the industry are streaming on its platform. It wouldn’t be out of the question for Kick to try to sign PewDiePie to a streaming deallike it did with xQcand other streamers, but there’s been no indication that a deal like that could materialize.
