From fan art and cosplay, to handcrafted weaponry, one fan even made aZeldathemed aquarium featuring the Moon fromMajora’s Mask. Though, one gifted individual has gone a step further and made a rather practicalZeldathemed creation.

Over on TikTok, a user by the name of zabacards made hard plastic replicas of theMaster Swordand the Hylian Shield, both of which are iconic items fromThe Legend of Zelda. However, the sword and shield actually serve an ulterior purpose. As demonstrated in the TikTok video, the sword and shield can be used to store Nintendo Switch cartridges.
Nintendo Switch cartridgesare quite small and can be easily lost, which has led to the production of a lot of carrying cases. Many of them are officially licensed and themed after various Nintendo IPs, but what zabacards has made is in a league of its own. To have a carrying case for Switch cartridges in the shape of two of the most iconic gaming weapons of all time is remarkable.
It’s amazing to see how much theZeldacommunity has revitalized itself within recent years. With the release ofBreath of the Wild, it’s brought in a ton of new fans, which has led to new fan creations surfacing online. Although, in terms of practicality, having a Switch cartridge carrying case in the shape of the Master Sword is quite unique in that regard.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds in terms ofZelda. The Nintendo Switch port ofSkyward Swordwill release later this month, but there still hasn’t been much of an update in terms of whenBreath of the Wild 2will release. The newest E3 2021 trailer revealed that the game had been pushed back to 2022, but in terms of what was shown, it seems like there’s a lot in store for fans ofThe Legend of Zelda.
