Back in 2013,The Last of Ushit store shelves and digital storefronts worldwide. The game was a massive critical and financial success for developer Naughty Dog. It currently holds a 95 Metacritic score and sold over 20 million copies as of 2019. A remake titledThe Last Of Us Part 1was revealed to be in developmentin the spring of 2021 before being released last year. A sequel,The Last of Us Part 2, was released in mid-2020 to a more controversial response but still sold well and was praised by critics. Since the games were released, fans have created their own tributes to the game that sometimes take unexpected directions.

Over the years, fans have recreated parts ofThe Last of Ususing LEGO bricks of all things. One fan, for example, recreatedThe Last of Us Part 2trailer using LEGO bricks. In a recent post, Reddit user BrickPanda82 showed off their own tribute toThe Last Of Us. LEGO versions of Ellie and Joel can be seen walking along with a background that looks like something straight out of the game. In the image, Ellie looks happier and more optimistic, while Joel looks cautious and concerned.
In addition to the use of LEGO bricks, fans have found other means of creating tributes toThe Last of Us. One fan, for example, had a clicker tattooed on their arm. Another fan created an entirebust based on the clickers fromThe Last of Us. Others still have created customer guitars inspired by the game as well as entire dioramas based on scenes from the series. It all goes to show just what an impact the game and its characters have had on gamers worldwide.
Many things are currently happening forThe Last of Usfranchise. A live-action adaptation of the games starring Pedro Pascal is set to debut on HBO later this month. In addition, news hasleaked thatThe Last of Us 3is currently in development, although it isn’t clear when it will be released. So long as the franchise continues, however, fans will likely continue to create tributes using everything from LEGOs to models for some time to come.
The Last of Us Part 1is out now PlayStation 5, with a PC version coming June 18, 2025.
