The Last Faithis a true Metroidvania as players will need to get their hands on some particular items if they want to progress through the release and explore every possible area. While players are traveling through Mythringal, they will come across strange walls that look like they are covered with gray moss-like material. These surfaces can’t be climbed at the start of the game and Eryk will need to get his hands on a special item before he’s able to latch onto them. Thankfully, it’s not too difficult to find the required tool if players know where to look. Once players unlock the necessary prerequisites, getting the Technological Gloves is very straightforward. Here’s how to Climb Walls inThe Last Faith.

How To Climb Walls In The Last Faith

To climb up the strange gray walls that players see throughout Mythringal, they’ll need to get their hands on something calledthe Technological Gloves. Finding these can be a bit confusing compared to some of the other items available in The Last Faith as they aren’t hidden inside a chest or found on a boss. Instead, players will need to access a specific NPC first.Eryk will need to locate someone named Mariano, who can be found in The City of Mythringal, in the upper-left corner of the map. After moving through a series of platforms that stretch upward, and wrapping around to hit a special switch, players will drop a ladder down a screen to the right. (Players can see the location and path in the companion video at the top of this article).

After exhausting all of the dialogue with Mariano, Eryk tells him to head to Oxnevylle’s Manor. As soon as this happens, players can head to a nearby Checkpoint Altar and warp back to the Manor. Mariano is located in the room all the way to the left of the Manor Altar. If players talk to Mariano again, they’ll be able to purchase items from him. The Technological Gloves can be found in the first page of his inventory and will cost 10,000 to purchase. After snagging them, players will be able to jump and cling to the moss-like covering on any walls they see. From there, they can jump off of it, allowing them to reach specific platforms.

It’s important to note that the Technological Gloves are not an equippable item, they are a Key Item, and as soon as players have them in their inventory, they will be able to latch onto mossy walls. It’s also important to note that the gloves do not allow Eryk to climb the moss, but instead, allow him to simply latch to it. Players should treat it like a “wall jump” in similar Metroidvania-style games. It make take a little bit of practice before players understand how to fully utilize the gloves.
