In January 2024,Tatiana Maslany, who played the main characterJennifer Walters, answered aquestion about She-Hulk season 2during a stream and said, “I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks.'”

The Case For She-Hulk Season 2

A season 2 ofShe-Hulkwould also be a great idea because of the cameos in season 1. There have been many funcelebrity cameos in the MCU, andShe-Hulkcontinued this tradition of featuring both stars and MCU characters. Season 2 would be a good opportunity to feature even more beloved characters.
What Are The Best Cameos In She-Hulk Season 1?
There should also be a season 2 ofShe-Hulkbecause of the interesting season 1 finale.Episode 9 ofShe-Hulkhas great Easter eggs, which is called “Whose Show Is This?” sees Jen losing her job at the law firm and being told that she can’t become She-Hulk again. Since these two things are integral to her identity, she, of course, wants to fix the situation. As viewers likely guessed, the episode has a happy ending and Jen/She-Hulk is back on track. The season 1She-Hulkfinale would lead perfectly into season 2 as now Jen has more experience balancing these two parts of herself.
The Case Against She-Hulk Season 2
One reason whyShe-Hulkseason 2 doesn’t need to happen? The negative reviews that season 1 of the Disney+ series received. While season 1 has a77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 32% Audience Score, which is very low. Whilecriticism ofShe-Hulkwas obviousfrom the start and there are enough people who would be interested in watching season 2, it’s worth wondering if season 2 would receive even more negative reviews from fans and critics alike.

Many Marvel fans felt that thetone ofShe-Hulkseason 1is confusing and that the show never figured out what it wanted to be. There is an interesting discussion in athread in the Marvel Studios SubRedditabout whether people liked season 1 or not. Redditor @FictionFantom wrote, “There is lots to like about the show. Personally I just think as a whole it tried to do too much, and Jen’s character arc suffered a bit for it. I think focusing on the week-to-week court cases and relationship drama would’ve been better than doing thatplusa typical MCU plot.”

Verdict: Does She-Hulk Season 2 Need To Happen?
While there are many reasons why there should and shouldn’t be a season 2 ofShe-Hulk, there seem to be more pros than cons. It would be fun and entertaining to see Jen continuing to work her lawyer job while turning into She-Hulk in a season 2 of the Disney+ series.
In an interview withIndiewire.comin 2022,Kat Coiro, the director ofShe-Hulk, talked about the negative response from some Marvel fans. Thanks to his comments, it’s possible to argue that a second season would be a positive thing.
