The Book of Boba Fettis the newest installment inStar Wars' TV universe, and it has already proven to be a popular show. Taking place during the Sequels era, the Disney+ series sees Boba Fett taking over Jabba’s Palace, showing the trials and tribulations that he and Fennec Shand face in doing so.

8Gamorrean Guards
For newer fans, the Gamorrean Guards may not be as familiar a face as they should be. In fact, these creatures first appeared inReturn of the Jedi, and viewers learn through dialogue that they served Bib Fortuna after the death of Jabba. They’re also very present onStar Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.
The Gamorrean Guards have shown up to continue serving at Jabba’s Palace, this time under Boba Fett. In the first episode, they proved their loyalty by saving Boba after he was attacked in the street by hired assassins.
7Rodian
In the first episode, fans see Boba Fett’s time immediately after escaping the Sarlacc Pit, where he is enslaved by Tuskens until earning their respect and being freed. In one memory, Boba and the Rodian are chained together just outside of one of the Raider’s camps, and by the end of the episode, he meets his end.
The more knowledgeableStar Warsfans will see this as a nod to the very first film, where Greedo is shot dead by Han in the cantina. Greedo versus Han is one of the more iconic scenes of the franchise, so it’s good to seeThe Book of Boba Fettrepresenting more Rodians.
68D8 Re-appearance
8D8 re-appeared inThe Book of Boba Fett, this time as part of the workforce. Older fans will remember 8D8 harshly, remembering how he tortured droids, scaring R2D2 and C3PO who had been sent to his workstation.

8D8 was not exactly the most memorableStar Warsdroid, but it shows great attention to detail by Favreau to re-activate the robot for the series. Back when the movie was released, 8D8 was one of themost terrifying sci-fi robots.
5Massif
Massifs are the alien dogs that accompany the Tusken Raiders, striking fear and herding those who are enslaved by the Raiders. Their appearance inThe Book of Boba Fettis not their first appearance, as they have actually appeared inAttack of the Clones, numerous episodes ofThe Clone Wars, as well as an episode ofThe Mandalorian.
Massifs are pretty much an established, memorable species by now that will likely continue to show up in futureStar Warsmedia, particularly media set on Tatooine or Geonosis. They add an interesting dynamic whether they’re appearing as ‘villains’ (Attack of the Clones) or as ‘friends’ (The Mandalorian). For fans ofPokemon, they’ll see the resemblance between the Massifs andPokemon Dog Types.
4Mos Espa
Mos Espa features inThe Book of Boba Fettas the neighboring spaceport to Mos Eisley. Eagle-eyed fans will notice that Mos Espa is the location of a huge chunk ofThe Phantom Menace. Anakin Skywalker and his mother Shmi lived there, and many of the same locations seen in “Stranger in a Strange Land” are fromThe Phantom Menance.
Tatooine is largely a barren world, with conditions too harsh in most areas. This forces the population to huddle together in spaceports, which makes Tatooine an interesting planet to explore and learn about, especially with the number of monsters and Tusken Raiders all across the deserts. Hopefully,The Book of Boba Fettwill continue to develop Mos Espa and Mos Eisley, and potentially visit further spaceports, which areuntapped plotlines Star Warsneeds to explore.
3Bacta Tank
Boba Fett is seen multiple times in the episode resting inside a Bacta Tank chamber. While inside the Bacta Tank, a user will be able to heal major injuries through exposure to Bacta. Eagle-eyed fans will know that the Bacta Tank has been used for a long time, as early asStar Wars' second filmThe Empire Strikes Back.

TheSkywalker familyused one first. Luke Skywalker uses it when injured on Hoth. What’s more, Darth Vader used to relax in a Bacta Tank at his castle on Mustafar. The Bacta Tank’s are a great way to explain away grievous injuries to characters and allow them to survive. Boba definitely needed it during the first episode, so hopefully, the tank doesn’t get destroyed at any point.
2Max Rebo Band
Nobody could forget the striking faces of the talents behind the Max Rebo Band. Their appearance inThe Book of Boba Fettproved to be a small success, with lots of fans happy to see the old faces back after they provided aStar Warsfunny moment.
The Max Rebo Band first appeared inReturn of the Jedi; a 12-piece band that would perform regularly at Jabba’s Palace. Even for newer fans, it’d be hard to forget their designs when showing up. The Max Rebo Band made an iconic scene during the original trilogy, so it’s nice to see the crew behindThe Book of Boba Fettshowing appreciation for these cameo characters.
1Trandoshan vs Wookie
DuringThe Book of Boba Fett’s opening episode, we see a Trandoshan in Jabba’s Palace carrying a Wookie pelt. Fans who haven’t delved into the expanded media much may not have noticed the significance of this, but diehardStar Warsfans definitely did.
The Trandoshans have had a feud with the Wookies for centuries, regularly hunting them for sport and simply gaining their pelts to sell on the Black Market. Bossk, the legendary Trandoshan assassin, actually made it his personal mission to claim Chewbacca’s pelt. Luckily, one of thebest original trilogy’s characters, Chewbacca, managed to narrowly avoid Bossk every time he tried. It’s a testament to the cast and crew’s attention to detail when little Easter Eggs like this are present.
