Fortnite’s Rocket Racingmode features various tracks, from novice to expert, with varying themes and obstacles. From the treacherous Bone Cavern to the long and curvy K2 Raceway, there are numerous tracks for players to race on while enjoying the beautiful scenery. WhileallRocket Racingtracksare different, they all share one thing in common - shortcuts.
Track shortcuts allow racers to get ahead of their opponents and make it to the finish line first. Most of these shortcuts are filled with boost pads for extra speed, ensuring players finish races within the shortest time. While track shortcuts are not a secret inFortnite’s Rocket Racing, most players don’t know which tracks have the best shortcuts. Similarly, some shortcuts are quite hidden, making it more challenging to find and use. Knowing the best track shortcuts inFortnite’s Rocket Racingis crucial to getting ahead and finishing first.

5Airborne
Airborne is a noviceRocket Racingtrack with an expert iteration. This track is one of the simplest to race on since it’s designed with long curves and has no tight corners. The Airborne track features several shortcuts for players, with the first located right after a hill. This shortcut is off-road, so players must veer to the right to get on it and get a nice speed boost from the boost pads.
The next Airborne shortcut is a midair route with multiple speed boosters. Anessential Rocket Racing tipwhen getting on this road is to jump for the vehicle to fly and get on the airborne track. Note that there are multiple suspended routes in Airborne and players can drive on all to avoid collisions with other vehicles. Since these airborne roads have boosters, players have an added speed advantage to get to the finish line.

4Cliff Runner
Multiple Shortcuts with Boost Pads
Cliff Runner is one of the fewRocket Racingtracks with multiple shortcuts throughout the map. However, the Cliff Runner shortcuts are the most hazardous, and players risk hitting a wall and respawning. The first shortcut is right after the first green circle ring, and it cuts a big chunk of the race, ensuring players get ahead. This shortcut is an extremely tight corner that’s hard to take, requiring players to driftat a sharp 90-degree angle.
It may take a few tries to ace the shortcut, but once mastered, it’s easy to tackle, and the rest of the shortcuts on this track are fairly easy to take. During the last stages of the track, take the right path off the road and not the tunnel, as the shortcut is much quicker.

3Puddle Jumper
Airborne Tunnel Shortcut
Puddle Jumper has numerous airborne tubes that are shorter than the main road. These tunnels ensure vehicles get ahead of others, especially when jumping off them onto the main road. Note that not all tunnels in Puddle Jumpers are shortcuts, as some significantly slow a player down. For instance, the first airborne tunnel on the track is actually slower than the main road, so avoid it at all costs. Instead, jump into the second tunnel to save a ton of time. Be careful when jumping into the tunnel, as hitting the edge causes players to die and respawn. If a player dies, they canpress the associated turbo-boostingbutton to get ahead.
2Anarchy Arches
Ceiling Shortcuts
The Anarchy Arches track allows players to defy the laws of gravity bydriving their rocket-powered vehicles on the ceiling. While ceiling driving isn’t a must to make it to the finish line, it saves players time on the main road. Most, if not all, of the ceiling paths on Anarchy Arches have boost pads for extra speed. Flying off the ceiling roads onto the main road also boosts the vehicle’s speed.
Jumping onto the ceiling shortcuts in Anarchy Arches can take some time to master. Players must simultaneously press the jump, drift, and accelerate buttons for their vehicle to flip and attach to the ceiling. To drive on the ceiling route, move the steering stick forward while pressing the Aur Dodge Button (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, and Right Click on mouse and keyboard).

1Dust Up
Multiple Wall Shortcuts
Dust Up is anotherRocket Racingmap with multiple shortcuts scattered throughout the track. The first shortcut is early on, as soon as the race starts, and players have to jump on the left road to get on it. This shortcut has speed boosters to get the vehicle ahead. To get on the left route, steer left while pressing the Air Dodge button. This transitions the vehicle from the floor to the left wall. When taking the next shortcut, take the inner road on the left since it has more speed boosters than the one on the right.
Dusty Up 2 has even more shortcuts, but as an expert map, the shortcuts on this map are even more challenging to race on. The shortcuts are on the walls, requiring players to spend most of the time driving sideways and not on the main road. The only downside to the wall shortcuts is that they’re relatively short, so players have to be quick to get on and off easily. To unlock the Dusty Up 2 track, players complete theSeason Zero Kickoff Queststo rank up and unlock more tracks.
