In the absence of Heihachi,Kazuya Mishimahas taken the top slot as the main antagonist ofTekken 8.His fighting style falls somewhere between a defensive fighter and a powerhouse. He lacks the speed to match fighters like Law, who can beat him to punch, but patient players with good defensive skills can counter with devastating combinations.
Several of Kazuya’s moves work well from the block, like his heat activation from the spin kick with back and circle/B. However, some of his long-form combinations can be tricky to learn, and beginner players may struggle with them inTekken 8’sChallenge mode.Kazuya Mishima’smove list has many moves to try from the pause screen. As a result, it can feel overwhelming. This guide will outlineKazuya’s best moves and combinations inTekken8without overcomplicating the method and leaving players open for counters.

Combos For Kazuya In Tekken 8
When it comes to being successful intheTekkenseries, many good players will recommend learning a handful of combinations and moves and sticking to them until muscle memory kicks in and the novice is confident enough to increase their repertoire.
As stated above, Kazuya doesn’t have the speed to poke at his opponents and create openings like the faster characters, but he’s excellent at going around breaking an opponent’s defense.

Agony Spear
The Agony Spear combination is a solid place to start when learning Kazuya’scombos inTekken 8. It opens with a fast front kick, a left punch, and a knee to the body. If it lands successfully, the combo takes a decent chunk of the opponent’s health. The front kick is an excellent move to interrupt a fighter that throws a lot of kicks and heavy punches.
Twin Fang Double Kick
The Twin Fang is another good start combination that stays effective for its ability to attack high and low. Players can bait their opponents into blocking high using punches, then hit with a quick low kick, and then finish with a powerful roundhouse kick to the midsection for excellent damage. Players can make it more effective by building up to it, by just throwing punches and getting the opponent to block high.
Kyogeki Goutsuiken
Another terrific combination for Kazuya is the Kyogeki Goutsuiken. By holding down diagonally toward the opponent and X and O on the PlayStation or A and B, Kazuya starts with a double kick to the middle, followed by a left and right punch.
Demon’s Wrath
The Demon’s Wrath is a fast four-hit combination that targets the head, mid-section, and legs in quick succession. This makes it a hard combo to predict for the opponent and takes away about a quarter of their health bar.
Roundhouse Triple Spin Kick
The Roundhouse Triple Spin Kick is a classic move from Kazuya’s arsenal. As with many of his best moves, it starts with one body area - the middle - and sweeps low. It’s a dangerous move against fast fighters but excellent against defensive fighters who focus on blocking in the standing position.
Illusive Demon
The Illusive Demon is a low-spin kick followed by a jumping high kick. It’s a fast and powerful attack that attacks the lower body, taking the opponent off the feet and following it with a flying kick while they’re in mid-air.
The Illusive Demon requires the player to press forward, followed bya slight pause, aquarter circle towardthe opponent on the D-Pad, and then hit the right kick twice usingCircleon the PlayStation orBon the Xbox.

Powerful Single-Hit Attacks
Kazuya has several effective attacks that don’t require combinations and can hit his opponents with significant damage in battle.
Thunder God Fist
The Thunder God Fist is another classic original attack move forKazuya. It isn’t as deadly as inTekken 8’spredecessors, but it’s an excellent feint attack that makes opponents think Kazuya is going low but hits high. If players perform the same command when Kazuya is in his Devil form, and he executes the more powerfulDamnationattack.
The Damnation follows the Thunder God Fist with a chokeslam from the air and hits his downed opponent with a flying chop. Press forward, followed bya slight pause, aquarter circle towardthe opponent on the D-Pad, and then hit theSquarebutton on the PlayStation orXbutton on the Xbox.

Devil Fist
The Devil Fist is a quick and effective attack to the middle that transforms Kazuya into his Devil Form. Then, players can attack their opponents with special moves in Heat Mode/Devil form.
The Flash Tornado
The Flash Tornado is a spinning back kick performed by holding away and the right kick button, using thecirclebutton on the PlayStation or theBbutton on the Xbox. It transforms Kazuya into his Devil form and knocks his opponents backward. It’s an excellent move to use from a distance or after blocking.
Lightning Screw Uppercut
The Lightning Screw Uppercut is aclassic Kazuyamove that hasn’t lost any of its power. It still inflicts massive damage. However, the downside is the move has a wind-up that can be interrupted. To use the move effectively, players must try and knock their opponents down and hit the Lightning Screw Uppercut by holding downaway on the D-Pad andSquare and Circleon the PlayStation orX and Bon the Xbox.
By frequently utilizing the above moves and combinations,Tekken 8playersshould get used to the timing and Kazuya’s attacking style to string together their unique techniques and combinations or move on to practice more complicated attacks like the 10-hit combo in the game’s practice mode.
