In a new tweet from the developer, a few screenshots have revealed the player’s pets wearing hats and head accessories. Both the dogs and cats are depicted as wearing hats, with one dog wearing a giant bow on its head instead. While ConcernedApe didn’t provide any details in his tweet, it stands to reason thatStardew Valleyplayers can get hatsand equip them on their pets, much as they can already place hats on horses in the game.
Fans are extremely excited by this sliver of information about the update, with several being outspoken in how charmed they were by the sight of pets wearing hats. While it’s a minor cosmetic option that more likely than not won’t have any real impact on gameplay, the ability to personalize one’s farm and home have always been a big draw to the indie farm simulator, so this new feature fits right in.
