Summary

A big draw for fans of theStar Warsfranchise is the Jedi that populate this universe. These lightsaber-wielding Force users were once a highly respected peace-keeping order in the galaxy, but the rise of the evil Empire saw them almost completely wiped from the universe. Fortunately, Luke Skywalker was able to dismantle the Empire and bring peace back to the galaxy, establishing his own Jedi order and finally passing the torch onto his student, Rey.

The Jedi are an extremely powerful group of people, and it has always been fun to explore these powers in video games. However, characters like Luke Skywalker, Yoda, and Obi Wan have all had their stories fleshed out in other media. Even unique Jedi like Cal Kestis and Starkiller have been given their own stories in games. Perhaps then,it is time for a few other Jedi to star in their own video game.

7Yaddle

Another Member Of Yoda’s Species

Star Warsfans will instantly recognize Yaddle as she sits on the Jedi council inThe Phantom Menace. She is also notable for being the only other character in the franchise to be the same species asfan-favorite Grand Master Yoda, and she made another appearance in the Tales of the Jedi animated series.

George Lucas has always been coy about the nature and origins of Yoda’s species. They are said to be incredibly rare, and fans do not even know the name of the alien race to begin with. It is unlikely to happen, but if Disney ever wanted to explore Yoda’s species, it would be great to see his planet in an open world video game. Players have had plenty of chances to use Yoda in video games before, so Yaddle would be an interesting Jedi for a game like this.

6Kit Fisto

A Powerful Jedi From The Republic Era

Since theStar Warsprequels andClone Warsseries were set in an era where the Jedi were at the height of their power, there are a lot of force users that populate the screen in this era. One of the more recognizable Jedi from this time period is Kit Fisto. He doesn’t pop up much in the movies, but he does have some notable moments in the series. He is seen fighting the droids on GeonosisinAttack of the Clones, and accompanies Mace Windu when he confronts Palpatine inRevenge of the Sith.

Kit Fisto is a notable enough character that he would be a great protagonist in a game exploring this era of theStar Warsuniverse. However, this alien has one more trick up his sleeve that makes him a compelling choice for a video game character. The race of aliens that Kit Fisto belongs to can breathe underwater. As such, this ability could provide players with a new way to explore and experience new parts of theStar Warsuniverse.

5Mace Windu

Mace Windu gets a lot of screen time inthe prequel era ofStar Wars. This is because this warrior was the head of the Jedi Order at the time of the Republic, just before the Empire took over the galaxy. As such, he is portrayed as a wise Jedi, and also one with some great combat skills. However, he couldn’t have started life like this.

Setting a video game around someone like Mace Windu would allow players to see how Mace Windu became the powerful Jedi he was, one that even outranked Yoda. Alternatively, fans have always speculated that he survived his alleged death at the hands of Darth Sidious. Many people were even convinced that Emperor Snoke from the sequels would turn out to be Mace Windu somehow. Therefore, a video game could explore his survival, and look in on what the Jedi were doing during the fall of the Empire and rise of the First Order.

4Rey

The Protagonist Of Disney’s Sequel Era

Despite the fact that Rey was the central character inDisney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy, not much is known about this Jedi. The force awakens in the abandoned scavenger, and then she is suddenly leading large portions of the Resistance inThe Rise of Skywalker.

There is a gap in time betweenThe Last JediandThe Rise of Skywalkerthat could be filled with a video game to explore what Rey was doing at that time. She could be seen improving her skills in combat, and we could even see how she is perceived by the other people in the galaxy as the last remaining Jedi. It would go a long way to explaining why everyone in the galaxy showed up to help the resistance in the final fight at the end of the series.

3Kyle Katarn

A Jedi Of The Original Franchise

Kyle Katarn is an odd character in theStar Warsuniverse, and this Jedi has even been used as the protagonist in video games before. However, these appearances all took place in the non-canon era of theStar Warsfranchise that Disney now refers to asStar Wars Legends. In this era, Kyle Katarn was a Jedi who survived order 66, and he was the one who stole the original death star plans inStar Wars: Dark Forces.

Katarn also has a rich backstory that has seen him defect from the Rebellion after he learned the organization was responsible for his father’s death. Kyle Katarn still remains a hero, and it would be great to see Disney bring the Jedi back into series canon. Perhaps having him star in a video game is the best way to achieve this.

2Count Dooku

A Powerful Jedi Turned Sith

Most fans of theStar Warsfranchise will recognize Count Dooku as the elderly Sith Lord who appeared inAttack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.He is shown to be in allegiance with Emperor Palpatine in this era of the saga, but Dooku starts his life as a Jedi Knight.

This powerful force user once worked as a Jedi, and is notable as being the one who trained both Yoda and Qui Gon Jin. Sadly, Dooku became disillusioned with the order, and decidedto join the Dark Side. His true identity was not known before the Clone Wars, though, as Dooku operated under the guise of Darth Tyranus. A video game exploring Count Dooku’s time as a Jedi would be fascinating, and it could provide the basis of a great story with choice-based actions.

1Ahsoka Tano

The Clone Wars Padawan Everyone Knows

Ahsoka Tano is one of the most recognizable Jedi in the entireStar Warsfranchise. This is an exceptional feat given the fact that ther character was not even in any of the movies. Instead,Ahsoka debuted in theClone Warsanimated show, and she has gone on to appear in other expandedStar Warsmedia, includingStar Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian, and she even stars as the focus of her own Disney+ show.

The character of Ahsoka Tano was originally depicted as the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker before he turned to the Dark Side, and then went on to train a new Jedi, Sabine, during the rise of the Empire. One of the great things about Ahsoka is that she can be placed almost anywhere in theStar Warstimeline, and it would make sense. Therefore, a developer would have free rein to explore any part of theStar Warstimeline and galaxy in an Ahsoka Tano video game.
