Revealed during a Bilibili showcase stream, the Not a Paradise trailer brings back an old friend and highlights the improved environment. This is the first trailer featuring a Ukrainian voiceover, the other available language for the title, increasing the immersion for viewers. Locations include a parking structure with a faded mural, a Ferris wheel in Prypiat, and a mutated creature running through a ruined building. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobylis designed in Unreal Engine 5. The impressive graphics highlight how beautiful the radiation-ravaged area can be. From a sunset Ferris wheel ride, to a business area with lush trees, the setting comes alive in Not a Paradise. The one enemy the trailer includes moves seamlessly across the screen, inciting fear regardless of being able to see the fine details. Even the appearance of Richter fits perfectly with the expansive views. Looking down from their perch, it feels as if falling may actually cause damage to viewers.
The GSC Game World studio has had a difficult time creatingSTALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl,originally subtitledHeart of Chernobyl. Not only have there been numerous developmental delays, the studio had to relocate due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. With development back on track, the title’s fall release will be superseded by various updates, trailers, and screenshots. Those already sold on the game can pre-order it to claim exclusive bonuses.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobylis set to be one of 2024’s best horror games. Fans will find out if it lives up to the hype come September 5.
