OneSkyrimplayer landed a very satisfying kill when they slew a legendary dragon and it fell right back into its burial mound. When players kill a dragon and absorb its soul inSkyrim, the body dissolves until only bones are left, so the skeleton being on the burial mound is a very fitting sight.

Slaying dragons and absorbing their souls is a big part of the game’s plot, and although it is possible toplaySkyrimwithout unlocking dragons or shouts, players will miss out on the entire main storyline if they do so. When the game first starts, draconic remains are buried across Skyrim in burial mounds, but those dragons are coming back to life and terrorizing the entire region. The player, known as the Dragonborn, is tasked with finding and killing the dragons as well as putting an end to the spate of draconic resurrections.

Skyrimplayer MO3RAY posted their satisfying screenshot to theSkyrimsubreddit, showing off the accidentally perfect placement of the newly slain legendary dragon. Although players will start encountering dragons in the open world after they bring theDragonstone back from Bleak Falls Barrow, legendary dragons will only start appearing once players reach approximately level 78. Not only do legendary dragons look much more threatening, but they are quite a bit harder to defeat and will occasionally drop Daedric weapons and armor when killed.

MO3RAY’s screenshot of the fiery disintegration of the legendary dragon is fantastically time and almost looks like a piece of fan art. The sparseSkyrimUI elements do take the viewer out of the moment a bit, but it’s still such a cool moment to have captured. While a lot ofSkyrimimages posted are of weird bugs, there are a lot of epic moments in this game that get recorded as well, and MO3RAY’s picture is a great example of this.

One downside to the image, of course, is thatSkyrim’s graphics are starting to show their age. That’s understandable, given that the game originally released in 2011, although it has had updated versions released since then. Creative members of theSkyrimcommunity have created graphics modsto take the game up a notch, though, so players can get better graphics for their epic, or hilarious, screenshots.
