Stendarr’s Hammer is one of the many new weapons included inSkyrim Anniversary Edition, originally being released in 2017 for theSpecial EditionCreation Club. This Two-Handed Warhammer is extremely powerful, but extremely heavy, and was once one of the God of Mercy’s personal weapons –at least according to legend.

Stendarr’s Hammer has both positive and negative effects, making it truly suitable only for someSkyrimbuilds. It’s comparable to Keening, the Dagger that saps health from its wielder, though this Warhammer saps a different resource - Stamina.
Stendarr’s Hammer Effects And Stats
The first thing players will realize upon acquiring Stendarr’s Hammer is how unwieldy it is – the Warhammer clocks in with a whopping 100 inventory weight. It can deal massive raw damage, though, and it’s enchanted to both take health away from targets being hit and drain Stamina from its user when striking enemies.
Stendarr’s Hammer deals Smite damage that almost everyenemy in the game cannot resist. This means a guaranteed 22 damage with every swing, though its high Stamina usage pretty much removes the possibility of doing heavy attacks with the Warhammer as it becomes far too easy to become staggered and lose the entire Stamina bar.

How To Get Stendarr’s Hammer
Fortunately, Stendarr’s Hammer is one of the easiest new weaponsintroduced with the Creation Cluband included inAnniversary Edition. In Markarth, there is a Museum dedicated to the Dwemer, particularly the former inhabitants of Markarth itself, located in Markarth’s Understone Keep. Players are able to gain access legally to this Museum through a questline with Calcemo, Markarth’s chief Scholar.
Players are also able to pickpocket a key to the museum or find one nearby, but it does count as trespassing and the guards inside will try to arrest and kill the player. Stendarr’s Hammer is located in the back left corner of the central room on its own pedestal. Be wary of its extreme weight if you aim to steal it, as it can make a player over-encumbered before they have the chance to escape.
