The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis considered a classic RPG for many reasons, including its expansive world, intricate lore, and the sheer level of choice it offers players. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t packedwith funny little moments. OneSkyrimplayer recently managed to pull off a hilarious finishing move animation that saw them kill an enemy simply by standing in place.

Skyrimplayers can pull off finishing moveson command with the press of a button or at random during combat. Regardless, finishing moves give players a chance to see their character pull off a kill from a third-person perspective.

Redditor eziotheeagle shared a video focusing on a bow-using player locked in combat with a Lurker, a Daedric creature found in the murky waters of Hermaeus Mora’s realm of Apocrypha. Archery isparticularly effective against these deadly creatures, but the highlight of the video comes after the player is finished shooting. The camera switches to focus on the player crouching in place, a new arrow clutched in one hand, while the Lurker goes into its death throws off-screen.

Eziotheeagle joked that the video showcases the coolest finishing move animation thatSkyrimhas to offer. While this may be up to personal interpretation, it can’t be denied that the ability to stand back and watch an opponent die seemingly of its own accord is entertaining. OtherSkyrimplayers have run into issues with finishing movesin the past that would probably not have been a problem if they’d been using this particular animation.

As of writing, it appears thatotherSkyrimfans are enjoyingthe video as much as eziotheeagle did. Several users expressed enthusiasm about a finishing move animation that consisted of standing there until the opponent spontaneously perished, with one describing the video as the “slav squat of death.” A second user claimed that the finishing move was so powerful it had to be censored, while a third claimed that the finishing move did occur, it just happened too quickly for the human eye to perceive. A significant number of replies stated that the player had somehow managed to glare the Lurker to death. One user theorized that this was a bug, but stated that it was so entertaining it might as well be a feature.

Skyrimis available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3, 4, and 5, and Xbox 360, One, and Series X|S.
