Summary
ASkyrimfan has 3D printed an incredible Golden Claw inspired by the first dungeon in the game. There are many memorable items inSkyrim, but some of the first ones that players will encounter are found in an early quest to Bleak Falls Barrow.
Because millions of gamers have playedSkyrim, a big chunk of the community has only done early main quests before exploring the open world their way. One of Bethesda’s strengths has always been making worlds that players can experience in different ways, expanding the replayability of its games.Skyrimis no different, and many players have escaped the Helgen Keep tutorial and gone on to do some early quests. While some fans may drop off before reaching Alduin, most have exploredSkyrim’s Bleak Falls Barrow. One player has commemorated a key item from the important early location in an impressive 3D print job.

Reddit user Equivalent_Funny_394 recently shared five images of their 3D-printed Golden Claw that show their attention to detail from multiple angles. LikeSkyrim’s version of the Golden Claw, it has three symbols in its palm; a bear, a butterfly, and an owl. Beyond this, the Golden Claw appears weathered as if it has been carried through Bleak Falls Barrow by Arvel the Swift as it was in the game. The 3D-printed piece is made to scale and is notably large given that the claws alone protrude several inches. Adding some depth to the piece, multiple colors have been used for this 3D-printed Golden Claw so it further resembles the in-game item.
How Was This Skyrim Golden Claw Made?
According to Equivalent_Funny_394, their 3D printing project was made using Zbrush, and it combines five different elements. TheSkyrimGolden Claw replica was made in about 24 hours, and it’s the firstElder Scrollsproject by the gamer. Fans who looked at the Golden Claw thoroughly would know that it has markings on its palm and claws, while a pattern in the fingers resembles dragon scales. The Reddit user was able to replicate this effect with Zbrush, and it looks identical to the item that can be returned toSkyrim’s Riverwoodresident Lucan Valerius once the quest is complete.
While the 3D-printed Golden Claw won’t be used to complete anySkyrimpuzzles, it’s a testament to the Reddit user’s abilities. Given that there areotherSkyrimDragon Claws, the Reddit user may create the full lineup. With how many unique objects there are in theElder Scrollsfranchise, there are a lot of opportunities for future 3D printing projects.
