A Reddit user named Turtle-Pancake09 has shared a few images from theirSkyrimplaythough, and it looks like textures are broken in their game. As seen in the images, the ground textures look extremely out of place, as the rest of the game looks normal. A section of the wall in the first picture also appears to suffer from the same issue, resulting in an uneven image that can impact the overall experience. Many gamers in the comments section made jokes about the low-resolution textures, with one fan stating that Turtle-Pancake09 is playing on a PlayStation 2. According to one user, this is a known glitch inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimand it causes Whiterun’s LOD model to not unload properly when players get closer. This version of Whiterun is otherwise used to depict the city at a distance, but a bug results in it overlapping with the actual version of the city available inSkyrim. While this seems like a possible explanation, a few players also wonder if the issue was caused by somemods inSkyrim.

This isn’t the only bug related toWhiterun in the world ofSkyrim, as a different glitch makes it look like the city is from a horror movie. This bug engulfs Whiterun in a mysterious fog, resulting in the player not being able to see too far in front of them.
