Skull and Bones Embarking on a Voyage

What Happens When You Die in Skull and Bones?

Naval combat, along with exploration, is one of the main features ofSkull and Bones. Players must build and customize their own ships using cosmetics, weapons, and furniture. They can gather resources to their heart’s content whenever they are ready to set sail. Doing this requires some aggressive means at times.

Players can attack forts, settlements, merchants, and warships. Doing thiswill increase their infamyand leave them with tons of loot that can be sold or used in crafting if they are successful. However, enemies will not go down without a fight. Players will be targeted, and their ships will be attacked whenever they engage in combat.

Combat is one of many things players must worry about. Ships will take damage during storms and when attacked by sea creatures such as sharks, gators, and monsters. All ships have their own HP, depending on theship type and equipment. Players can purchase and craft Repair Kits that they can apply as they’re taking damage, but if they run out and their HP reaches zero, their voyage ends.

When you die inSkull and Bones, the game over screen appears as depicted in the image above. Luckily, playersdon’t lose any progresswhen this happens, but they temporarily lose their cargo. They will have two options to jump back into the game:

Skull and Bones Ship Sinking

Players must choose quickly if they want to respawn at sea, as there is a countdown. Once it reaches zero, they will automatically respawn at the dock.

Players will dock at the last place they disembarked.

Respawning at sea costs Silver Coins, but players will be sent near where they went down and closer to all their cargo. All of their loot will be in one place and easily recovered.

Additionally, if players respawn at sea, they don’t get a chance to repair their ship fully, and its HP will be lowered. The only way to fully recover the vessel is torepair it from the ship menubefore setting sail.

There are a couple of ways to help reduce your chances of sinking. You can equip your ships with armor to increase their defenses or craft tank ships that are significantly more sturdy.
