According to a new rumor, popular battle royale gameFortnitecould be crossing over with EA’sDead Spacefranchise.Fortnitehas become well-known for its crossover events, with Epic’s ever-changing BR adding everyone fromGod of War’s Kratosto anime heroes like Naruto Uzumaki.Fortnitecrossovers will certainly continue throughout 2023, and while theDead Spacecrossover has yet to get an official announcement, fans do know of at least one crossover they can expect next month.

Fortniterecently released its Chapter 4 map, bringing sweeping changes to the battle royale and significantly improving the graphics. Along with introducing Chapter 4,Fortnitealso confirmed that it will soon be adding a skin based on Deku fromMy Hero Academia. An official release date for the Deku skin inFortnitehas not been announced at the time of this writing, but it’s generally believed that it will be added at some point in January if it doesn’t come this month.

In the meantime, January is also when fans should be able to expect theDead Spacecrossover content to hit the game, if the recent rumors are true. Insider Gaming has reported thatFortniteis crossing over withDead Spaceon January 23. Insider Gaming is unsure how extensive this crossover will be, but they believe that it will likely consist of a skin that players will be able to purchase from the shop.

Assuming the leaked information is correct, this would mean that theFortnite/Dead Spacecrossover is happening mere days before theDead Spaceremake is out.TheDead Spaceremakefrom EA is looking to revive the classic sci-fi survival-horror title for modern platforms, upping the graphics and making other small changes while otherwise remaining true to the source material. A collaboration withFortnitewould be a great way to promote theDead Spaceremake, and it will be interesting to see if it pays off.

As for what theDead Spacecosmetic inFortnitecould be, that’s anyone’s guess, but the obvious answer would be anIsaac Clarkeskin. TheDead Spaceprotagonist has an iconic and easily recognizable look, so one would think he would be a great choice for aFortniteskin. Then again, it’s possible that theDead Spacecrossover will be more substantial. SomeFortnitecrossovers have added new POIs to the map and things, but it doesn’t seem like that’s in the cards for theDead Spacecollaboration.

While fans wait to see if there’s any truth behind these rumors, they can look forward to other crossover content for Chapter 4 that’s already been confirmed, like the aforementioned Deku skin and theGeralt of Rivia skin.
