Rockstar may have major plans in store for Halloween inRed Dead Onlineif a purported leak is to be believed. A datamine of a recentRed Dead Redemption 2update is said to have included details aboutRed Dead Online’s October Outlaw Pass, revealing a Halloween theme as well as new spooky loot and events. “Celebrate the Season of the Strange and Supernatural” reads a logo adorning one of the images. Halloween is definitely coming toRed Dead Onlinethis October.
The leak comes from French Rockstar news Twitter account Rockstar_Actu. The account does seem to make some unevidenced assumptions with some of its reporting, but the images it shares in itsRed Dead OnlineHalloweenleak seem very authentic. According to Rockstar_Actu, the images were found in a set of recently published update files. From this datamine, Rockstar_Actu says, “We should have a new Outlaw Pass after October 19, with a machete and a special Halloween theme in the distillery bar, among others.”

The Twitter account proves one image, which is a collage of seven different individual images. Each of the seven images teases a different aspect of theRed Dead OnlineHalloweenOutlaw Pass. Content includes a variety of Halloween-themed cosmetics, including horse masks and a machete skin. There’s also a photo op location for players to make Halloween-themed screenshots, and like Rockstar_Actu says a Halloween theme for the Moonshiner Update bar.
Regarding cosmetics, the images reveal a handful of items. The machete skin features a jagged sword edge, as well as a hilt with a skull bearing giant demon-like horns. From the skull, a spine and ribcage extend down the handle. It’s truly grotesque. Another cosmetic appears to be a bloody cloth used as a blindfold. Then there’s aRed Dead Onlineemotewhere the player gestures as if they have clawed hands and are trying to scare someone. Finally, there are two horse masks. The first is a bloody leather sort of mask with small horns and the second is a sugar skull-style mask with longer horns.
The photo op location shows a wall with a sort of spooky background painted on it. In front of the wall is a stump with small skulls, bones, and a skeleton spread around it. Then in front of that is a pumpkin-headed scarecrow propped upon a stick. A camera is positioned out in front, indicating it’s a spot for taking a screenshot.
As for theMoonshiner’s bar, what’s shown is a piece of concept art rather than a screenshot. The piece of art shows ragged red drapes hanging from the ceiling, candles behind the bar, and a darker atmosphere in general.
Just how much of the leak is accurate and how much is either false or gets changes prior to the event remains to be shown. Regardless,Red Dead Onlinefans can expect a big event forthcoming for Halloween. Hopefully, it lives up to the legacy of the originalRed Dead Redemption’sUndead NightmareDLC.
