How To Get Gouging Fire In Indigo Disk DLC

To get Gouging Fire players first need tocomplete Perrin’s questline. Additionally, it should be noted that it isexclusive toPokemonScarlet. Most players would be well aware of who Perrin is, as she is one of the NPCs players will meet as part of theTeal Mask DLC. However, it is crucial to note that players first need to complete Perrin’s quest in theTeal Mask DLC, otherwise they will not be able to proceed with this questline. TheTeal Maskquestline requires players to catch 150 Pokemon, after which they will be able toencounter the exclusive Bloodmoon Ursalunain the game.

Once that’s done and players have completed the introductory part of theIndigo Disk DLC, players will be able to find Perrin in Savanna Rest Area 1. This time around, the task is quite similar to the Kitakami questline once again, as players need toregister 200 Pokemon in the Blueberry Academy Pokedex. This can take a bit of time, and there is no real way to speed past this requirement. All players need to do is try to free roam all across the Blueberry Academy and catch or evolve as many Pokemon as they can.

How To Find & Defeat Gouging Fire

After players have caught the required number of Pokemon and spoken with Perrin, they need tohead to Area Zero and then find Research Station 3. Right outside the Research Station players will find an entrance to a cave. Upon getting on top of the cave entrance, players will be able to see a waterfall, and they need to get on top of the mountain from where the waterfall originates. Gouging Fire can be found right at the base of the waterfall.

Gouging Fire isweak to Rock, Ground, and Dragon-type attacks, so players need to focus on that to whittle down its HP. However, it is crucial to ensure that players save the game before attempting to catch it and that they do not knock it out entirely. Status effects such as sleep should also increase the chances of catching Pokemon, and considering the extremely low catch rate of legendaries, it is crucial to build the team around these moves.
