It is yet again time for another Tera Raid onPokemon Scarlet and Violet. During the Nintendo Direct on June 21, the new DLC for the game was shown, and soon after followed the announcement for the new Tera Raid Battles with a chance at a new Shiny.

This event will featureChest Form Gimmighoul, also known as the Coin Chest Pokemon. This guide will teach trainers everything they need to know about participating in this Tera Raid event and if this Pokemon has a Shiny inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Chest Form Gimmighoul Tera Raid Event Dates and Times

ThisPokemon ScarletandVioletTera Raid started on Jun 14, 2025, at 8:00 am PDT and goes until Sunday, July 14, 2025, at 4:59 pm PDT. These Chest Form Gimmighoul will be appearing inPokemon ScarletandVioletTera Raid Battles.

Note that these Pokemon will have a variety of Tera Types, so be sure to be ready. These Tera Raids will be 5-star battles and grant a small chance at a Shiny encounter, which moves us into the next section of the guide.

Does Chest Form Gimmighoul Have A Shiny?

Yes, the Chest Form Gimmighoul does have aShiny variant inPokemon Scarlet and Violetwhich players will have a small chance of encountering through these raids. And once a player has obtained a Gimmighoul, they can only evolve it if they have collected up to 999 Gimmighoul coins. When leveling up the Pokemon,players will receive Gholdengo.

How To Get Gimmgihoul Coins

Players can farm Gimmihoul Coins pretty easily inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.The first way is via the watchtowers in Paldea –these act as fast travel points but also can be the best way to get Gimmighoul Coins. There are 14 different watchtowers, and each one will have a Chest Form Gimmighoul that players can take on in battle.
