Pokemon GOplayers are having a lot of fun with the new Zorua encounter mechanic in the game in which Zorua appear as trainers' buddy Pokemon (even shiny ones), but then when players click on them, they turn out to be Zorua instead. The buddy Pokemon of a trainer inPokemon GOappearing all over the place in the wild is quite the sight, especially if that buddy Pokemon is a legendary, shiny, or, sometimes, both.
AsPokemon GOplayers walk around the real world looking for different Pokemon, they catch a glimpse of the rare buddy Pokemon that they have traveling around with them in its shiny form, and they get excited to catch another one. Then, they turn around just to see three more of that exact same shiny Pokemon popping up, which is when they realize that it is just Zorua up to its antics again. Zorua is a generation five Pokemon, but was made popular first inthe Isle of Armor DLC inPokemon Sword and Shield.

Many differentPokemon GOcontent creators are posting screenshots and clips of encountering different shiny, legendary Pokemon out in the wild in places they shouldn’t be and at a much higher frequency. One of the fun details about the Zorua encounters is that if it takes the shape of the trainer’s buddy Pokemon, it includes the best buddy badge that the Pokemon wears to signify its buddy status. After gaining more popularity inits Hisuian form inPokemon Legends: Arceus, Zorua has held a place of esteem in the eyes ofPokemonfans and continues to be a source of entertainment and intrigue inPokemon GOas well.
PokemonGO’s initial launch of the Zorua encounter was shaky, and some players are still wary about Zorua and even other aspects of the Shuppet Spotlight Event during the Season of Light content inPokemon GOat the moment. Some regions were unable to encounter Zorua, and many people had glitched encounters and other bugs of that nature.
OnceNiantic fixed the Zorua encounter inPokemon GO, things became a bit more smooth, and now players are enjoying the encounter mechanic immensely in every region. The Halloween event seems to be in full swing, as players are finding the Tricky Fox Pokemon shapeshifted into their buddy Pokemon and as shiny legendary Pokemon all over the place.
Pokemon GOis already a great game for people to come together as a community to catch, trade, and talk about their favorite Pokemon, and events and special encounters just increase the engagement and entertainment that much more.
