Mega Battle Raids can be a difficult challenge inPokemon GO, but the rewards are usually well worth the extra effort.Mega Energy is a valuable resourceand these difficult Battle Raids are often the best route to farming it. to do that efficiently, trainers need to study each Mega Pokemon’s counters and weaknesses before hopping into a fight against them.
AsPokemon GOtrainers do their homework for Mega Raids, they need to be careful to prepare for each of the bosses so that they don’t end up wastingRevives, Potions, and Raid Passes. The best way to avoid those mistakes is by studying ahead and time and carefully optimizing an ideal counter roster. When it comes to squaring off against a powerful Ice-type like Mega Glalie, trainers are going to be able to get creative and take advantage of four different potential weaknesses with only one major resistance to dodge.

Trainers who are getting ready to battle Glalie can pull together a roster built from powerful Fighting-, Fire-, Rock, and Steel-types. Trainers should plan to assemble a solid counter roster and then head into the fight with three or four other players to take down the boss. It would be wise to use someTMs or Elite TMsto get the ideal move sets in place for this fight. It also wouldn’t hurt to burn through some Candy at this point to power these Pokemon up to a higher CP.
Mega Glalie Weaknesses
As an Ice-type Pokemon,Mega Glalie is weak to Fighting-, Fire-, Rock-, and Steel moves.
Rampardos - Smack Down/ Rock Slide
Darmanitan (Standard) - Fire Fang/Overheat
As always, keep in mind that this list of counters represents the strongest possible options, but there are plenty of other Pokemon who could still get the job done. Trainers should search their Pokemon collection byusing the keywords “Fighting”, “Fire”, “Rock”, or “Steel"and go with a roster that seems the strongest based on those options. Trainers should also remember that they won’t actually earn an encounter reward with a Mega Pokemon after completing this Battle Raid. Instead, they will earn an encounter with regular Glalie and a handful of Mega Energy to use for a temporary Mega Evolution in the future.
