Pokemon GOhas finally made Victini available to all players with the release of new Special Research on September 30. Players who missed out on GO Fest 2020 can now take advantage of “The Feeling of Victory” to capture the elusive Psychic/Fire-type Mythical Pokemon.
“The Feeling of Victory” Special Research is broken up into six stages loosely focused on Fire/Psychic-type Pokemon and the number “three.” Once completed, “The Feeling of Victory” leaves players with their own Victini, and various different items that’ll help power up the cute critter.Pokemon GOhas a history of introducing Mythical Pokemon via Special Research, so this should come as no surprise to veterans of the series.

As mentioned above, this Special Research is broken up into six parts, and thankfully, it’s free to access unlike recentPorygon-themed Special Research tasks. That said, “The Feeling of Victory” is a particularly unique set of Special Research because it doesn’t conclude with catching the Mythical Pokemon in question. Players can see below that Victini itself actually plays a part in the completion of its research. “The Feeling of Victory” consists of the following tasks and rewards:

Rewards: 3 Max Potions, Victini Encounter**, 3 Max Revives
**Players who have already captured Victiniwill receive 20 Victini Candies instead.
Rewards: Lure Module, 20 Victini Candy, Lucky Egg
* All starred encounters can appear as their Shiny variants.
This set of research tasks certainly takes Pokemon Trainers on a grand tour ofPokemon GOfeatures. That is to say, it may require some time to complete. Although many of the initial tasks, like catching different Pokemon, can be quickly knocked out, tasks like hatching eggs and completing Raid Battles will either requireprecious PokeCoin spending, or simple waiting. That being said, it’s great to know that players will emerge from the Special Research with Lures, Incense, Candy, and even an Incubator, in hand.
Players should also note that now that “The Feeling of Victory” is available to all players, it can be completed whenever. There are no time constraints as of now, so Pokemon Trainers are welcome to chip away at the Special Research slowly if that’s preferred. However, withperks like half hatch distance leaving soon, players may want to act sooner rather than later.
