Summary
APokemonfan came up with designs for Turtwig that personify the different seasons throughout the year. Lovers of Game Freak’s legendary series enjoy coming up with variants of the many different pocket monsters that have graced the games. ThesePokemon variationsoften come in the form of new Typings, Shiny palettes, or transformations that can change the look of the critters.
ThePokemon Turtwigwas introduced in the 4th Generation of the franchise along with its evolutions Grotle and Torterra. The pocket monster was the Grass-Type starter forPokemon Diamond and Pearland played a role in the anime as protagonist Ash owned one. The Pokemon and its evolutions seem to be inspired by the mythology of the World Turtle, which carries the Earth on its back.

A Redditor named MunchyKu shared a post featuring new forms of theGrass-Type starterthat they came up with. The artist designed their take on seasonal Turtwigs, with each representing one of the four seasons. Turtwig’s original design represents summer, while an orange variation of the Pokemon with slightly ragged leaves stands in for autumn. A blue version of the pocket monster with an empty branch serves as the winter representative, and a pink Turtwig with flower blossoms on its head embodies the spring.
MunchyKu’s post is getting close to 2,000 upvotes, showing thatPokemonfans are really enjoying the different Turtwigs that they came up with. Many commenters have stated that they find the different versions of the pocket monster to be cute, with one mentioning that they want the spring variation tattooed on them. Many wanted the designs that MunchyKu created to be official, with one fan going so far as to state that they would die for the spring Turtwig to be an actual form for the creature.
Turtwig is not the only pocket monster that MunchyKu has drawn. The artist has done many pieces ofPokemon artworkthat feature different forms for various critters, including Snorlax, Teddiursa, and Diancie. MunchyKu’s art is incredibly colorful and includes very creative designs such as an Umbreon whose fur pattern represents a constellation. They also draw works for other games as well, creating art for titles such asKirby, MapleStory, and Hollow Knight. MunchyKu’s art is very creative and helps give love to a number of Pokemon that fans have come to enjoy over the Generations. Hopefully, the artist will continue to come up with new pocket monster designs that the gaming community can continue to enjoy.
