In addition to the PS4 and PS5 port, Triband announced that its long-term support forWhat the Golf?continues on all the game’s available platforms. At the same time as the release of the PlayStation ports, the Switch version ofWhat the Golf?received a new free update, called “Slime Time!”. The update puts players in a mini campaign with over 50 levels a new overworld map, and “gooey” surprises. The mere fact of mentioning slimes confirms thatWhat the Golf?isn’t the typical sort of golf game.
What the Golf?is one part of thebest strange sports gamesaround, thanks to Triband’s strong sense of humor and dedication to silliness. It’s one thing to create a parody golf game, but it’s another to loudly and proudly announce that a golf game was made by a team that “knows nothing” about the sport it’s poking fun at. That endearing obliviousness powers many ofWhat the Golf?amusing set pieces and hilarious physics-based puzzle challenges. PS4 and PS5 players looking for a laugh would do well to try out a game claiming to “fix” golf once and for all.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is part of the ninth console generation and debuted with a launch lineup that included Demon’s Souls and Astro’s Playroom. The console comes with a Blu-ray disc, although a digital-only edition is also available for a cheaper price.
