Steam is letting players claimField of Glory 2completely free of charge - but only for the next few days. Valve’s digital PC video game distribution service has been known to offer certain titles for a discount oreven completely free for a limited time, something that has helped Steam become one of the world’s biggest gaming platforms. While not every title offered up as a free Steam giveaway has been a breakout success, many of them have been well-received by users.
Some of Steam’s most recent free offerings have included thepositively-reviewedWarhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War, a turn-based strategy title based on the long-running and extremely popularWarhammer 40,000tabletop roleplaying franchise. Just last week, Steam announced yet another free offer inTGV Voyages Train Simulator, which wasn’t as warmly received as the previous examples and was only available for a few days.

Now Steam has already revealed its latest free game giveaway, but users will have to hurry if they want to claim it.2017’sField of Glory 2is being offered at 100% offfrom now until June 8. This means that anyone interested in playing it before then will have roughly three days to act.Field of Glory 2is the second installment in British publisher Slitherine Software’s series of historical turn-based strategy titles - which are in turn based on a tabletop board game.
The baseField of Glory 2receivedmostly positive reviews from Steam usersand high ratings on aggregate websites like Metacritic due to its gripping turn-based battles. Several DLC packs would be released for the game over the years centered around certain historical campaigns, and a full-fledged sequel titledField of Glory 2: Medievalwas launched in 2021.
NowSteamusers can claimFields of Glory 2for free between now and June 8, and its many DLC campaigns are being sold at a discount for those who still want more after playing through the main game. However, like most of Steam’s free gaming giveaways, this offer isn’t going to last for very long.
