Due to his legendary power and selfless personality, he was able to launch a massive operation that saved tons of captives from the Celestial Dragons.

Also, despite never being seen using them, he is stated to be an adept user of Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki.

Many fans believe that of the Fish-man who aren’t pirates, Kawamatsu might just be the strongest of them all. Not only is he a legendary swordsman, he was a retainer forthe legendary Kozuki Odenand his skill landed him a coveted spot in the Nine Red Scabbards. Not only is Kawamatsu stated to be the strongest sumo-wrestler in Wano Country, but he is also a powerful Haki user.

Moreover, Kawamatsu is an exceptional swordsman, which is what allowed him to become one of Oden’s Nine Red Scabbards. His most impressive feat was that he was able to land multiple powerful blows on Kaido himself, which is something that speaks for itself.

This hulking brute became the captain of the Mammoth, which is a ship that flies the banner of the Beast Pirates but is controlled by him.
