Mother Flame
The name of the weapon is Mother Flame. It was created by Dr. Vegapunk, presumably at the command of the Five Elders. At the moment, there is very limited information available about Mother Flame. First and foremost, it is a man-made weapon. Secondly, its power is comparable tothat of an Ancient Weapon. Finally, the weapon can be used from afar. Imu had never used the weapon, but they felt a strong urge to use it after the Reverie was over. Imu decided that they wanted to check the power of Mother Flame. So they ordered the Five Elders to carry out an experiment.
The Five Elders wanted to test its power over an inhabited area or the sea, but Imu commanded them to target the Lulusia Kingdom. The Five Elders were surprised by the choice, so they asked Imu about their decision to pick Lulusia out of all the other places. Imu replied that it was close. The reason was simple, yet frightening. The Five Elders did not argue and went along with Imu’s choice, which resulted in the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom. Sabo was also in the Lulusia Kingdom, but he left before the weapon destroyed the island. Mother Flame is able to fly to different places, which allows it to be controlled from far away. The weapon’s shape has not been revealed, but it may have multiple openings for releasing an attack.
How Powerful Is It?
Mother Flame is definitely one of the most powerful weapons revealed in the story so far. It is convenient to use and can decimate an island effortlessly. The mechanics of the weapon have not yet been disclosed, but it is plausible to assume that it requires a great deal of time to recharge before it is ready to attack again. If it does not have this shortcoming,the World Government could spamattacks at different places. It would make the weapon too powerful, and no one would be able to counter its power.

The time taken by Mother Flame to recharge is the only window of opportunity that a person will have to disable the weapon once and for all. Furthermore, as the weapon doesn’t seem to be manned, it can’t possibly see any person within its vicinity; otherwise, it would have confirmed that Sabo was alive.
How It Impacts The Story
Mother Flame is an exceptionally powerful weapon, and it can turn the world upside down if it falls into the wrong hands. Currently, the World Government has the weapon under its control, but it won’t be long before someone catches a whiff of it and tries to take it for themselves. Blackbeard is a strong candidate to actually make a move to claim the weapon for himself. He is an extremely knowledgeable man, and he may have already learned of the World Government’s new weapon. It could also explain why he wants toturn Hachinosu into aWorld Government-affiliated territory, as it would keep him safe from the attacks of Mother Flame.
Monkey D. Dragon, Sabo, and Ivankov are also aware of the weapon’s existence. They know that the weapon poses a big threat to their safety, so they have to do something about it. A head-on confrontation would be foolish, but maybe Vegapunk can provide them with a solution if he makes it out alive from Egghead Island, which seems to be the next target of the World Government.
Fans already know that St. Jaygarcia Saturn and Kizaru are on their way to the island. The two characters are accompanied by a massive fleet of Marine ships.
St. Jaygarcia Saturn has made it clear that he wants to resolve the Egghead affair as quickly as possible. This explains why he brought along Kizaru and an enormous number of Marines. When the manga returns, fans can expect to see Egghead Island at the center of things once again.The Straw Hats are unawareof the approaching Marines, as they have their hands full with York and the Seraphim. They will have to move expeditiously if they want to rescue Dr. Vegapunk. One might think that the World Government could have simply used Mother Flame to destroy the island, but Vegapunk’s laboratory is filled with incredible inventions that would be lost forever.
