Summary

There are countless NPCs inLords of the Fallen, most of whom have their own questlines. Completing these questlines does not change the story’s outcome but can be required for specific endings.Lords of the Fallenchangesthe traditional way NPCs act, as most Soulslike games allow the player to strike NPCs using their melee weapons and even kill them. However, this is not the case withLords of the Fallenbecause NPCs are immune, and no hits are registered when attacking them.

Killing them requires a bit more effort, and some can only be killed during a specific ending. There aremultiple NPCs that the player should avoid killinginLords of the Fallen, as they provide a lot of utilities throughout the game.

During her questline, Damarose asks the player to bring her multiple items to see whether or not they can serve Adyr and make preparations for his return.

During the Umbral Ending, the first NPC that needs to be killed using the seedpod is Damarose. Without killing her, the player will be unable to progress into the story, locking them out of the ending.Killing Damarose can fail her questline and stop the player from being able to purchase multiple spells and items that are needed in order to acquire trophies.

Kukajin in Lords of the Fallen

A Petrified Woman In Dire Need Of Healing

Kukajinis one of the easiest characters players can accidentally kill. She first appears inForsaken Fenon the way to theHushed Saintboss. During the first encounter, she is petrified andasks the player for their help. If the player attacks Kukajin in her petrified form, it will lead to her dying and cause her questline to fail.

During her questline, she tells the player to summon her in the major story bosses so she can help them at the cost of some Vigor. Summoning her multiple times but refusing to pay her causes her to become hostile inUpper Calrath. Fighting her and killing her there will also fail her questline. This leads to the player having to do another playthrough in order to complete her quest and acquire the related trophies.

Molhu in Lords of the Fallen

Offers Remembrances And Upgrades The Umbral Lamp

Molhuis an NPC in Skyrest Bridge that can only be interacted with inside the Umbral Realm. Molhu provides the players with Umbral spells as well as the option toupgrade theUmbral Lamp, which increases the option to add moreUmbral Eyesand increases Soulflay charges. Aside from this, one of the most important things that Molhu offers is the option to exchange Remembrances. This process requires the player to acquire the Bowl of Revelations and bring it back to Molhu.

Molhu can only be killed during the Umbral Ending. As he does not have a questline of his own, the Umbral Ending acts as his questline, as the player has to bring Parasites from bosses and NPCs in order to place them in the column next to Molhu. After killing multiple important NPCs for the Umbral Ending, Molhu takes out a seedpod and kills himselfin order for the player to reach the ending. Killing Molhu to progress in the story makes it so that the player cannot buy items from him or exchange Remembrances. Items like theVestige Mothand theUmbral Seedlingare useful when exploring areas to collect armor or weapons after completing the game.
