Dead by Daylighthas shared an interconnected relationship with licensed, theatrical IPs for a while now, which is part of what helps its longevity prosper as an asymmetrical horror game. Contributing to either the survivor catalog or killer catalog, new characters arrive in DLC chapters almost all the time.Dead by Daylight’s Ash Williams survivortook on Bruce Campbell’s likeness a while back as DLC, for example, and Nicolas Cage is set to be the next survivor inDead by Daylightas an adaptation of the actor himself.
It would not be surprising to seeDead by Daylightleaning a little more into its cinematic inspirations for the foreseeable future, though, since it will havea movie adaptation through Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. It will be interesting to see which characters are portrayed in this adaptation, but in the meantime, it is exciting to see that Cage will be playing a role in the game nonetheless. Many characters receive a slew of cosmetic skins to dress them differently, and Cage is one such survivor who could benefit from the wide breadth of characters he’s previously played.

Kick-Ass
Cage is no stranger to superhero roles, with a couple of his most notable characters beingGhost Rider’s Johnny Blaze andSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s Spider-Man Noir. However, one of the roles Cage was able to camouflage himself into most wasKick-Ass’ Big Daddy, also known as Damon Macready. This skin wouldn’t necessarily show off the likeness of the actor, but it would be a great callback to one of his most intriguing roles in superhero media.
Mandy
Landing itself in the niche category of Nicolas Cage movies that are bizarrely graphic or surreal,Mandyis a gruesome, psychedelic trip rivaled only by black comedy movies likeHobo with a Shotgun. EachDead by Daylightsurvivorhas a bloodied look they can acquire from each of their three independent customization pieces, and a blood-caked Red skin fromMandywould be perfect for Cage in that regard.
Con-Air
Perhaps one of Cage’s most iconic looks, at least when it comes to still images,Con-Air’s Cameron Poe would be instantly identifiable as a skin. Cage’s muscle-bound body is shrink-wrapped in a muscle tee that is complemented by his flowing locks, and the look could be an instant classic of his multipleDead by Daylightcosmetics.
Pig
Pig’s Robinis one of Cage’s most subdued and subtle roles, which is a low bar seeing how erratic and unpredictable his roles have been. Shrouded in a bushy beard and being generally disheveled, this Cage look would definitely stand out among the rest.
Nicolas Cage Himself
Of course, it has already been revealed thatCage will play himself inDead by Daylight, and his look reflects how the actor looks by default. Cage has brought this signature look and style to many roles he has played in the past, and it is entirely likely that his cosmetics could dress him comparably as a way to show different sides of the actor, rather than different roles he has played. This would keep him in line with portraying the actor and not a character, though his past roles could still be honored as cosmetic skins either way.
Moreover, Cage is not known as a horror actor in particular, which makes his inclusion inDead by Daylight’s rostera bit odd in general. Still, lending big-name actors to the game’s catalog may be for the best as it could open up a bunch of other opportunities within the game for content in the future.
