It seems likeRick and Mortyis looking to keep the pacing in its sixth season quite smooth, thus Adult Swim has announced the series will take a brief mid-season break before returning in late November.
The news comes afterRick and Morty’s sixth episode this season, “Juricksic Mort,” which sees planet Earth taken back by its original dinosaur inhabitants with some pretty unforeseen consequences. However,Rick and Mortyfans won’t find the idea of getting ready for the finale that new since last year the series also went on a one-month summer break from early August to September.

The news ofRick and Mortyseason 6’s break was shared by Adult Swim’s official Twitter account right after Sunday’s episode premiere. November 20 is the date viewers should mark on their calendars to welcome back the show. Still, the announcement leaves some room for guessing how many episodes will make up season 6 as, despiteRick and Morty’s tradition of 10 entriesper season, nothing official has been said on the matter.
Rick and Mortyis not going away without leaving fans something to hold onto though. News of this short vacation came with a teaser for the second part of season six that features some ofRick and Morty’s best moments this year, including the return of Rick’s portal gun. The real shocker for most will be Summer apparently dropping a bomb on the family that she’s pregnant and also Rick and Morty going meta to tease what’s to come for the series.
Rick and Mortyleveled up in season sixand although this latest episode has reverted some revelations from the premiere, it’s clear the show is not the same after Rick Prime became the protagonist’s main target. Having Rick blast Morty through portals in the teaser seems to be put in there to remind the audience the show will go back to basics, only now with a clear objective lined out for Rick in the long term.
Season 6 has mostly been met with plenty of praise from fans and critics, withRick and Morty’s humor staying quite consistentin the first six episodes. For those who can’t bear to wait a few weeks, there’s plenty of officialRick and Mortycontent on YouTube.
Rick and Mortyseason 6 will return on June 11, 2025.
