Summary
The recentMultiVersustrailer teased the Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Harry Potter, and Aquaman for the game’s roster. Following a lengthy beta test,MultiVersusis soon set to have its proper launch. This new version ofMultiVersusis coming out swinging with a PvE mode and an even bigger roster than before.
All the characters that were featured on theMultiVersusroster during the beta testing period will be back when the game launches on May 28. The returning characters will be joined by some new additions as well, with The Joker, Banana Guard fromAdventure Time,Jason VoorheesfromFriday the 13th, and Agent Smith fromThe Matrixall confirmed to be making their debuts. Even more characters have been teased forMultiVersusin the game’s launch trailer.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, theMultiVersuslaunch trailerbriefly shows items associated with the Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Harry Potter, and Aquaman. The moment happens at around the 50-second mark in the trailer, when Bugs Bunny knocks a safe into the iconic Warner Bros. water tower. This causes all sorts of things to fall out of the water tower, including an octopus plushie associated with the Powerpuff Girls, a sword that looks like it belongs to Samurai Jack, a broom that Harry Potter would use, and Aquaman’s trident. Since the trailer, even more evidence has surfaced that at least one of these teases will come to fruition sooner rather than later.
Since theMultiVersusPowerpuff Girls tease, an entirePowerpuff Girls stagehas actually been confirmed for the crossover fighting game. None of the Powerpuff Girls have actually been confirmed for the roster at the time of this writing, though, so fans should keep that in mind. It’s possible that all three of them will be playable, but maybe just one of the girls will be featured instead. All fans can do is speculate untilMultiVersusdecides to reveal more information.
MultiVersus Confirmed Roster
The same uncertainty can be applied to the Harry Potter tease as well. While Harry Potter himself would make the most sense, it’s entirely possible that a different character from the franchise will be featured instead. After all, there are many other major characters from the Wizarding World that use brooms throughout the books and movies. Whatever the case may be, it’s likely that these characters will be added to theMultiVersusrosterat some point post-launch, so fans may want to keep the focus on the launch roster in the meantime.
