Players should now continue jumping across the platforms in the acid, firing at the Reaper Tentacles that look to impede Samus’s progress. Upon reaching the third platform,Metroidfansshould destroy the Blastcaps on the platform ahead to reveal the second runic symbol on the ground.
Runic Symbol #3
After scanning the second symbol, players should continue to follow the platforms in the acid. This path ultimately leads to a wall that Samus cannot currently bypass, and the third runic symbol is upon it.
Runic Symbol #4
Fans should now return to the Watery Hall’s entrance and begin climbing the elevated platforms. These can be reached from the raised stone platform that is directly in front of the entry door, and players will encounter several Reaper Tentacles as they traverse them. Ultimately, this elevated path leads to the runic symbol door, and the fourth runic symbol is on the wall to the right of that door.
Runic Symbol Door
Once the fourth runic symbol has been scanned, players should simply scan the runic symbol door at the end of the elevated path to open it. Fans can then proceed forward to obtain theCharge Beam inMetroid Prime, which can be powered-up by holding down the fire button and allows Samus to access new areas.
To note, there is a Chozo Lore entry on the wall directly behind the Charge Beam, and players that are looking to complete their Logs should ensure to scan it. There is also a wall section that can be destroyed with a Morph Ball Bomb near the Charge Beam, giving players some incentive to return to the Watery Hall once they have earned that iconicMetroidability.
