Hulu’sOnly Murders in the Buildinghas added legendary actress Meryl Streep to its ranks for the upcoming 3rd season, upping the ante on what’s sure to be more cozy apartment building adventures with the affluent residents of the Arconia.
Streep will join theHuluseries after seasons 1 and 2 saw similar heavy-hitters like Nathan Lane and Shirley MacLaine, unfortunately not continuing the rhyme. Last year sawOnly Murders in the Buildingbring in Paul Rudd for season 3, who would have already been a huge deal on his own. But now, fans have some fresh celeb material to gossip over during the agonizing wait, thanks to some exciting news from series leads Steve Martin and Selena Gomez.

Gomez posted a video on her Instagram, starting with a celebration commemorating the start of production onOnly Murders in the Buildingseason 3. But as the camera whips around the room showing off her, Martin, Rudd, and fellow series lead Martin Short, Streep rises from the back to what was surely a chorus of gasps from viewers (along with Gomez herself). She cheekily offers Martin a pillow and asks if anyone else needs anything, prompting Short to quip, “just the tea I asked for half an hour ago.” Martin also posted a photo onTwitterrevealing Streep’s casting, adding to the excitement.

Meanwhile, Gomez’s Mabel Mora has connections with the victim, making for a perfect storm for the trio to start their own true crime podcast as they attempt to solve the murder on their own.
