LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagamay be one of the most expansiveStar Warsgames around, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. Traveller’s Tales adapted all nine Skywalker Saga films and gave players a giant galaxy to explore, but while it truly feels like a love letter to the franchise, it leaves out some major entries. Not only doesLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saganot include theA Star Wars Storyfilms, it also leaves out the very popular Mandoverse.
It does not seem like Traveller’s Tales has any plans toaddThe Mandalorian’s storytoLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, leaving its characters relegated to character packs instead. However, the Mandoverse includes some of the most popularStar Warscontent currently being produced, and fans would undoubtedly love to explore it themselves. It feels like Traveller’s Tales would be leaving money on the table if it did not create a full-fledgedLEGO Mandaloriangame.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Barely Explored The Mandalorian
Traveller’s Tales was able to pack nine films intoLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, making itthe largestLEGO Star Warsgame to date, but the biggest downside is that non-Skywalker Saga content did not make the cut. Players cannot experienceSolo: A Star Wars Story, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, or the manyStar WarsTV shows airing on Disney+. This holds the game back from being the perfectStar Warsgame, and the DLC did not change that.
Traveller’s Tales offered two season passes forLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but every DLC pack only added new characters. These characters were based on many of theStar Warsprojects that did not make the cut, but they did not come with new levels. They were also not voiced, and mostly just served as cosmetic fluff. This has left fans of shows likeThe Mandalorianwith no way experience that story, which could be addressed in a sequel.

LEGO The Mandalorian Could Finally Tell Mandalore’s Story
The whole Mandalore story has enthralled audiences for decades.Fans watched as Mandalore fell apartduringThe Clone Wars, followed the Mandalorians as they tried to find a future inRebels, and they are now watching the surviving Mandalorians attempt to retake their home inThe Mandalorian. It has been interesting so far, but Traveller’s Tales should let fans experience it firsthand.
ALEGO Mandaloriangamecould tell the full story of Mandalore, letting players experience the constant infighting, desperate fleeing from the Empire, and the fight to reclaim it. It could serve as a love letter to that part of the franchise, and a great framing device to adaptThe Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, and evenThe Book of Boba Fetttogether. Each project deserves to shine in a modern LEGO game, and the Mandalorian lore can unite them all.
AnotherLEGO Star Warstitle is likely a ways off, and no one really knows what it will adapt. Traveller’s Tales has mostly stayed within the confines of the films, but it is now time for it to branch out. The Mandalorians feel like perfect protagonists for a new LEGO adventure, and there has never been a better time to make something riding off their success.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
