It showcases some ofthe new characters inKnives Out 2. “Tonight, my murder will be committed,” Norton’s Bron announces to all of them. He has apparently gathered his friends to his Greek villa to participate in a murder mystery plot, which is why Blanc is nearby and ready to take the case after the actual crime is committed. He’s presumably there to add some legitimacy to the original game, only to become embroiled in an actual murder.

The trailer also offers a look at Dave Bautista’s role as Duke Cody, a YouTube star and men’s rights activist.Similar to the Thrombey familyfrom the firstKnives Out,it looks like the character will be fodder for plenty of jokes and social commentary. At its heart, it looks like Benoit Blanc’s ongoing saga will be a source of social satire and humor that plays on the characters' lack of self-awareness.

WithKnives Out 2release date set for Thanksgivingin theaters and then December 23 for Netflix, the film is quickly approaching. Given that the mystery around the film is central to audience enjoyment, it’s likely that fans won’t be getting much more information before the film actually releases. Even the victim in the feature hasn’t been revealed - will it be Norton’s Bron who ironically dies, thinking his murder is just a game?

Whatever the case, it looks like Benoit Blanc has his work cut out for him. The Thrombey family was wealthy, but it looks like the sequel is going even bigger this time around. Blanc will be investigating celebrities, billionaires, and senators in this installment. It looks like a new hit is coming for Netflix.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mysteryhits theaters on Thanksgiving before becoming available on Netflix on May 28, 2025.
