Summary
Jujutsu Kaisenis currently in the midst of the Culling Game arc and fans are thoroughly enjoying all the ongoing battles at the moment, largely because these are the most important battles of the arc. Fans have already seen an incredible clash between Gojo and Sukuna play out recently and, following that, more incredible clashes of similar magnitude conclude as well.
Now, the biggest of all battles in the Culling Game arc, which sees Sukuna at his very best, has finally begun. Surprisingly, a sorcerer as talented as Gojo has emerged in this fight and this person is none other than Hiromi Higuruma.
Higuruma Vs Sukuna
Higuruma was first revealed to the fansand the Culling Game arc.He was one of the many people in the world of JJK who were given a cursed technique via forced activation by Kenjaku making use of Idle Transfiguration. The vast majority of the players who received new cursed techniques were nothing special, however, there were a select few who could be considered to be very intriguing. Out of all the characters, Kenjaku believed Hiromi Higuruma to be the most intriguing one and he had caught his attention from the very beginning. Fans didn’t get to see the full extent of Higuruma’s powers until recently.
Once Kashimo fell in battle against Sukuna, the duo of Yuji and Higuruma jumped into battle. Higuruma immediately showed his incredible skill while fighting against Sukuna and that is something that fans have come to admire over the last few weeks. Higuruma managed to open his domain immediately after joining the battle and forced Sukuna to confess to all the crimes that he had committed. This eventually led to Sukuna’s cursed tool being confiscated.
Higuruma initially went into this battle thinking that his cursed technique would be confiscated, however, since he had not fought any cursed tool user before, he did not know how confiscation would work in this case. Regardless, Sukuna’s cursed tool was stripped away from him which was certainly a very big achievement for Higuruma. Even after that, this fight continues and Higuruma has a lot to offer still.
Higuruma’s Domain Expansion
Higuruma is one of the characters with the most potential in the world of JJK. This is one of the major reasons why Kenjaku was keeping a keen eye on him since his incredible growth rate intrigued him. According to Kenjaku, he was the only one worthy of attention among all those who awakened the cursed technique. This was until Kenjaku met Takaba, who became the only second character to surprise him. However, even though Takaba completely charmed Kenjaku, he wasn’ton the same level as Higuruma.In the case of Hiromi Higuruma, fans could see the incredible talent that he possesses when he utilized his Domain Expansion.
He recently did this against Sukuna and, given his deep understanding of the law, it is very hard for anyone to outmaneuver him. Once he opens his domain, any form of combat or force is prohibited. The target is forced to comply with the rules of his domain, which makes this a non-lethal Domain Expansion. He doesn’t have a sure-hit attack, like most Domain Expansions inJJK. Instead, he summons his shikigami, Judgeman, and then a trial is held, in which, if the defendant is found guilty, they can receive hefty punishment. This punishment can range from having their cursed tool confiscated, to the confiscation of their cursed technique, to even getting a death sentence.
This death sentence is carried out with the Executioner’s Sword, which Hiromi wields himself. The sword is such that it can kill anyone in a single blow, regardless of how strong they are. Even if someone is as strong as Sukuna, they cannot survive the Executioner’s Sword and that makes it an incredibly powerful ability for one to wield.
Higuruma Learns Domain Amplification
All the abilities that Hiromi Higuruma possesses already make him a strong fighter, however, what makes him a genius is the fact that he managed to learn all this within 2 months as he has not had access to cursed technique for long. The fact that he was able to understand cursed energy so well in such a short amount of time and then utilize his cursed energy in a way to craft such a complex Domain Expansion just goes to show how big of a genius he truly is. This is exactly why Kenjaku was enamored by him and, now, Sukuna has seen something similar.
Although he failedto confiscate Sukuna’s cursed technique, he is still fighting against him. Sukuna was seen chasing after Higuruma in the previous chapter and when he launched his powerful slashes at him, Hiromi then responded by using Domain Amplification. He had never used this skill before and managed to master it in the midst of battle. By doing this, he was ableto nullify Sukuna’s slashesto some degree and reduce the damage by quite a lot. This enamored Sukuna as well and thus, a comparison between him and Gojo was drawn by the narrator.
Higuruma’s Potential To Become As Strong As Gojo
InJJKchapter 246, the narrator clarified that Hiromi Higuruma is a rough diamond who has the potential to rival Gojo Sato in combat. This might confuse some fans, however, the meaning of the statement is quite straightforward. This does not indicate that Higuruma is as strong as Gojo. This only means that he has the potential to be as strong as Gojo in the future, provided he keeps polishing his cursed technique as well as his usage of cursed energy in general. Higuruma can grow a lot and, if he continues developing like this, one day, he will, perhaps, reach the same level as Gojo and, maybe even surpass him. This is massive for someone like Higuruma and the fact that Sukuna was charmed by him just goes to show that he is a true genius in combat.

He had incredible control over cursed energy and his cursed technique was unmatched in the story. Higuruma has a long way to go and would need to master skills like reverse cursed technique as well as develop different applications of his cursed technique as well. When he masters all those aspects of power, he can, perhaps, rival Gojo in terms of skill and become a legend along with the likes of Sukuna himself. All that, however, depends on whether he survives this fight against Sukuna or not. Given that this exciting battle is currently ongoing, fans have plenty of time to witness Higuruma grow in battle and find out what fate holds in store for him.
