TheAssassin’s Creedfranchise has taken fans to time periods and locations all over the world, from Italy during the renaissance to Ancient Egypt to colonial America and more. However, there’s consistently been one location in particular that fans of theAssassin’s Creedfranchise have wanted to see that has yet to be explored in a main series game, and that’s feudal Japan. Ubisoft has not announced any plans to make anAssassin’s Creedgame set in Japan, but a newly released video gives fans an idea of what such a game might be like.

YouTuber TeaserPlay uploaded a video that shows what anAssassin’s Creedgame set in 1333 Japan would be like, built using Unreal Engine 5. The idea of the video is simple, and that is show what anAssassin’s Creedgame could look like when using next-generation graphics and tools like Unreal Engine 5’s nanite and lumen features. The video shows an assassin exploring city streets, perching on rooftops, and caps off with a shot of a vast, mountainous landscape.

While only a concept video, it does make an effort to mimic the HUD of anAssassin’s Creedgame. The top of the screen includes a compass with various icons on it, pointing the assassin to missions and side content.
